I know many of us are tapped out, but I’m gonna put in a bleg for PFAW’s Young Progressive Candidates.

We don’t have the kind of farm teams on the left that the right have had.  It’s a whole lot harder for young progressive leaders to get the support and acknowledgment that will lead them to higher office.  One of the few programs that helps them is People for the American Way’s Young Progressive Candidates program, which identifies and grooms candidates at the state level.  Today’s state rep like Maria Chappelle-Nadal, who fights for choice and public education in Missouri, could be tomorrow’s Donna Edwards.

If you’ve got any change left over in your piggy bank, make an investment in 2010, in our progressive farm team, in our future. Go to ActBlue and give what you can to the great roster of candidates who so richly deserve our support.
