   This is part 2 of 2 parts. Part 1 is also well worth listening to.

   How is it legally possible for the Fed (Bernanke) to impose such a heavy tax burden on the US taxpayers without the constitutional authority to levy taxes? Or, for that matter, having any say as to whom such enormous sums are lent.

   Rep. Grayson has been fighting for audit of the Fed for 26 years…he doesn’t give up!! Go Grayson !!!

  Thanks, ubetchaiam. With these ever-changing changes to this Seminal software, seems like I have to refresh every time I take any action. What is going on? On my Ellsberg diary, the entire comment disappeared never to be seen again. Same thing happened to Johninsacramento on his Tom Joad diary.

   Thanks for the clip scout. It’s been such a busy day that it took until now to have time to listen. Grayson is just tremendous. He can make the complex matters of the Fed so understandable. It’s so much fun watching how he is making Republican heads explode everywhere.

  Yes, Jim, I feel hope returning whenever I see/hear a new appearance by Rep. Grayson. Who dares take him on with his sharp mind, sense of ridicule, knowledge of both economics and the law??? Bernanke was really nervous, his voice quavered a couple of times. Finally all he had to fall back on was “it’s been done many times before and nobody questioned it” – as if taxpayer robbery is o.k. as long as nobody chases,catches or brands you a crook. His own chart cast doubt on his answer, though, as Grayson revealed the chart Bernanke furnished showed 0 loans to foreign banks prior to the 1/2 TRILLION by Bernanke to the European central banks.

   I think one dividing line among dem voters is that between thinking and unthinking.

  Agree, ART45. IMO, the word is a perfect fit and stands as is. BTW, what does that make Bernanke?

  The utter shame that the top 10 defense contractors have all been found guilty of cheating/fraud/illegal practices. The fines they pay are laughable in relation to the $$$$Billions they rake in.

  I say, stop the wars and end the war profiteering by these criminals.

   Oh NOES – I clicked Grayson’s website at link I gave and first thing I see is a statement dated today apologizing to Linda Robertson. Yeah, I know, as a gentleman he had to do it – but I wish he hadn’t.

   Just as an aids-infected whore spreads disease and tragedy far and wide to many innocents, the Enron “creative accounting” has spread economic tragedy to literally millions of innocent people and perhaps the entire country.

   I say, Let the word stand as spoken!

  Not to worry. Grayson did what he had to do to stop an escalation of the situation. He knows MSM would be trying to discredit him by sidetracking his message by replaying the word for a week or two until the next shiny object appeared.

  It makes Bernanke a highly paid whore, of course. The most recent in a long list of whores since the private bank known as the Federal Reserve was formed in 1913. Grayson knows full well the history of the FED and he knows full well how dangerous it is to take on these people. He’s doing it anyways. He’s a true patriot who is trying to save his country.

   Hey guys, I am a big fan of Grayson, but I do feel this language and his description of Cheney on Tweety’s show was over the top. I like him best when he is ridiculing ideas and cutting through the bull, not when he is attacking in a personal fashion. And he has since apologized for this language which I was pleased to hear.

   If he goes too far, then it’s easier to dismiss him, and we don’t want that.

  Don’t slink too far, dosido, we need you around here! I wish we could get back to calling things what they are, like torture is torture not “enhanced interrogation techniques”. We need those words Grayson uses to shock the glazed-eyed sleepers awake.

  Back when my kids were ravenous eaters I used to throw leftover veggies, etc into a pot and make soup. My kids would ask what’s for dinner? “Wonder Soup”. It worked for a while ’til they got wise and knew it meant “wonder what’s in it?”.

   The congressman with Guts had no Guts standing up to the conservative group National Organisation for Women did he?

   They really did a nice number on him. As even Digby of all people pointed out, the word “whore” as everyone knows full well, applies accurately to lobbyists of either gender but a feminist can always manufacture victimhood and faux offense out of anything. Demanding Grayson back down was a good move for the Republicans and of course the feminist lobby had the power to force it regardless of “Guts”.
