The video below is dedicated to Ray McGovern for his lifetime of service to our country.
The link here takes us to Ray’s latest talk which he gave 11/12/2009 at Washington U. on the subject of torture. No matter how gruesome the subject, Ray manages to weave in his stories and lighthearted tales. In this talk he reminds us that we must remember to find Joy in order to maintain our sanity in these dismal times. The very last story he tells at the end of the Q&A period in the clip is about what happens when The Fiddler of Dooneen meets St. Peter.
The clip embedded here (I hope) is "the extraordinary scene and the music in O’Connor Square, Tullamara at Fleadh Cheoil na hEireann, 2007, when 2700 musicians converged to establish the World Record for the largest session. It’s the biggest joyful noise I could find for you, Ray, Thank you.
[By the way, in case everyone doesn't know: Ray is pure Irish.]

Thanks for this. The music was joyful. I hope to find time to listen to the full McGovern video.
Thanks, Jim. It’s pretty long, but Ray is never dull. Stay with it to the end – he’s got some impersonations that are perfect (W, Gonzo, Addington) and a poke at Texas that is priceless.
“Euphemisms cannot wash torture clean. Not “an alternate set of procedures;” not “enhanced interrogation techniques;” not “extraordinary rendition” masking kidnapping for the purpose of torture.
It is a telling irony that the orderly procedures of the independent judiciary in Italy owe so much to the power of (earlier) American advocacy.
Horton adds that “disappearings” are now widely recognized — and not only in Italy — as a “crime against humanity and thus not subject to statutes of limitation or capable of being ignored.” ”

Thanks, blue. The Seattle Times refused to print Ray McGovern’s speech on torture, huh? Is there any better blatant example of a bought press? What do they print in that rag, pet goat stories?
I just sent Ray a thank you e-mail via ConsortiumNews here: consortnew@aol.com
Ray McGovern is a hero and a patriot. Ray takes on Rummy
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v1FTmuhynaw
Thanks acquarius
~~~Hey, John in sacramento ~~~ I love that confrontation that Ray gave Rummy; called him a liar and proved it before God, the cameras and everybody. I hope that every time Rummy tries to sleep he is visited by the replay of Ray McGovern standing there quoting Rummy’s lies back to him. That may be the only form of justice the old warmonger ever knows. Thanks for giving the link, and for stopping in.
The 46th memorial day of JFK’s assassination is only 5 days ahead. I’ve been thinking of making a diary of an excerpt from the book, Final Judgment. Might get me banned, huh?
By David Swanson
“Khalid Shaikh Mohammed and the corporate “mainstream” media make quite a pair. We’re hearing a very “balanced” debate over whether KSM should be tried in New York City, and whether the most insane objections to that proposal are really insane or not. But what are we not hearing?
We’re not hearing that trying criminals for the crime of 9-11 ought to have been what we did years ago, rather than waging wars in response to a crime. We’re not discussing the possibility that had alleged 9-11 criminals been tried years ago rather than being imprisoned and tortured together with hundreds of innocents depicted as subhuman monsters, the “war on terror” might have been replaced with simply the wars on Iraqis and Afghans and Pakistanis. What effect might that have had on Americans’ willingness to surrender their Bill of Rights? We aren’t hearing about that.
Aside from a column by my friend Ray McGovern, not of course published by the corporate media, what are we hearing or seeing about KSM’s motive? Isn’t motive a traditionally important element in a criminal investigation? We’re told that putting KSM on trial would give him a platform for propaganda, but we’re not told what that propaganda might be. If it were really so pernicious, why not expose it and refute it? Isn’t that what societies that believe in free speech do with misguided speech? Don’t they defeat it with more and better speech? Or is that only when it can be done without using the word “Israel”? ”
Write it, I will definitely read it
PS Kind of on topic, DARPA must be fans of Austin Powers movies
John, see my #3 at your link (DARPA). I think I see what you mean by ‘kind of on topic’…same outfit behind both programs, huh? At the link you gave at your DARPA diary I watched several clips on the futuristic (?) weapons and their uses. The statements made by that Col. Makewitz remind me of a mental cyclops indeed, only able to see a very narrowly focused goal. Israel is psychotically paranoid and the entire world has and will suffer. I have grandchildren between ages of 14 – 20; I pity them.
This was just wonderful! Musicians of all ages, including that sweet tiny girl playing with a bodhran. What a treat!
Thank you, greenharper! I wondered if anyone else would notice that toddler, and thanks for telling me what the ‘tambourine’s right name is. I also watched the shining, happy faces of people of all ages. Sure makes me wish I could have been there. hmmm, are you a harpist? er, ‘harper’? I saw one harp in the crowd.
I noticed the difference between the Scots bagpipes and those played in these Irish groups. I’ll have to learn more about those Irish pipes.
Do you know how many musical instruments originated with the Irish? [I thought all my life that I was Irish but learned after doing genealogy that it's mostly Scots and Dutch. But most of the true Scots were originally Irish - so, there I am again.]
Glad you enjoyed this wonder, and glad you let me know it. Thanks.
Hey, greenharper, look at this clip. Fantastic Irish dancing.
By adding tap shoes, Riverdance made Irish traditional dancing known around the world. Family history is often forgotten, intentionally, or not. The British royal family got rid of their German name and became the Windsors. I doubt that many people knew the Queen mom was of Scottish descent until her funeral. Her pipers marching in her funeral procession made the ground shake under their feet and she planned it that way; a declaration of who she was. The Scots and Irish fought and intermarried for many a year, so the similarity between music, dance, etc is not too surprising. Family history got confused by the practice of children taking on the nationality of the father only. Mom’s lineage was of no importance, so was lost over time. Did you find that in your research? Were the women in your family the unknown Scots?
blue, what do you make of #70 here? What am I missing? Is her target really someone of higher rank in the pecking order that it’s unpopular to disagree with? Seems out of character.
WTF was that mad attack dog comment all about? I don’t much care for most comments given by O. I think that it was very much in character. More aggressive than your average human and very demanding that others conform to her thoughts. “My way or the highway” is the usual attitude. Why so biting and nasty towards you of all people is one of life’s great mysteries..’g’. I don’t know why it was done, but that was one of the worst comments I’ve ever seen here. Put motormouth to shame, it did. Can hardly wait to see if you get a reply. Congratulations on your cool demeanor. I don’t think that I’d have done so well if I’d been the one attacked in that manner. Very prolific writer for many years..goggle it.
On the ‘O’ matter: I really have only paid attention to the work on Aafia, so thought highly of that support. So, this old dog learned something new yet again. heh,heh. I try to stick to facts, gave up on emotion-based rants a long time ago.
I’ve always had a ‘lazy eye’ which docs first learned of when I was 16 – has to be surgically fixed prior to age 4. Both eyes cannot focus on the same point – plays Hell with depth perception, but has some advantages. Cover one eye and look at an object; then cover the other eye and do same. See what I mean? Sort of like looking at a large natural chrystal and doing the same. The shapes never look the same. Taught me there’s lots of ways of looking at anything. People with normal eyes don’t understand the problem/asset. I kind of adapted that philosophy about any subject and any other person’s view of it.
Thanks for your take on my question. I do question myself…uh, now and then…hee,hee,hee.
The last diary on Aafia was bad. It is listed under Google as a discussion of both sides of her case. In other words, the innocent and the guilty both have facts in their favor. I got snarled at on that diary. A fact that I appreciated immensely..’g’.
Yup, me too. The added benefit of an Adie’s pupil was the last straw. Light causes extreme pain because the pupil does not contract. Depth perception is nil. You know the joke about running into the wall..well, I do that frequently because I can’t judge how far from the door jamb I am. I haven’t fallen on the stairs for a whole month. Last time, I totally missed a step..grrr. My bad eye wrecks the sight in my good one; makes it blurry. Even the eye specialist does not understand why that is. Not at all angelic am I, but get me under florescent lights and I see halos around everything. Soooo annoying.
You know, blue, it never ceases to amaze me that most people just can’t have a sharing discussion. Sooner or later they personalize the issue and lash out when they can’t win with their viewpoint. They have never moved from the center of the arena and put the issue (or all humanity) there. I think I learned that when my first child was born; not really before that. I think that’s instinctive even with mother animals. Maybe some folks weren’t in that line when the gene was issued.
Kinda gives me goose bumps that you have a lazy eye, too. I’ve had several “coincidences” in my life that did that…thinking back, they were all blessings.
That Adie sounds like a real beast! Blue, I may have asked you this before, but do you use sea salt? I’ll wait for your answer before launching into my spheil.
Was just thinking…blue, (you may have already done this) train your dog that nods her head to respond to words like door, bed, steps, table, tub, etc., then hold her leash and give the command on days when your sight is so blurred. She can do it. [I have not proven this, you understand, I just pulled it from my backpack of theories. *g*]
If youtube videos do not play properly for you, you may need to update a flash player. This one is non IE.
http://www.filehippo.com/download_flashplayer_firefox/
My girls know many words, but it would be hard to teach them such a new trick at this point..ie..they are eleven now. I taught them hand signals for when they go deaf; that’s all. One of them is graceful and the other just barges from A to Z. I spend considerable time staying out of her way! I swear that she has the same lack of depth perception that I have. Many is the time I’ve said “like mother, like daughter”. We both have the same fun either tripping or banging into things..’g’. Yes, we discussed sea salt. I have to be careful because my thyroid is such a mess.
It could be that because you and I are liked and acknowledged as careful researchers. You mentioned that the invasion plans were prepared before 911. She may have reacted to that in connection with Bush’s name. Oh well..she can just keep on being a legend in her own mind..’g’.
Hey, blue, just downloaded the latest player at link you gave; nothing to it. Hope it cures some of the sluggishness when clips play. Thanks so much!
Dang, thyroid too?? Good thing you’re so sharp-witted and can out think all you have to deal with. Para: I know what you mean about the different make-up of dogs. Have had some that could and did predict my next move, and also some of those loving blunderers. One time my oldest son had a bird dog who brought home one of the neighboring farmer’s big white geese and laid it at my son’s feet, looked up grinning from ear to ear, proud as punch.
Too funny..although the goose and the farmer probably didn’t think so ‘g’. I hope the player helps. Can’t hurt, anyways. Let me know if the videos still don’t play properly. There might be something else to try. Definitely a case of hit and run; still no answer.
Blue, that player update is a wonder! I watched this McGovern on Bobby Gates clip without interruptions. And another talk given by Dr. David Ray Griffin in Copenhagen without that maddening rebuffering every 4th word; in fact none. Please tell your son this tough old Texas turkey says, “Thank you”. I’m sure he has lengthened my life. er…uhm, he might not want to go bragging about that as we’re not too well thought of these days.
In the Bobby Gates clip I think Ray is telling us why he left the CIA. It’s at the “we missed Russia” bit; some of them did not miss it but they were suppressed by the “go along to get along group” who told Bobby what he wanted to hear so he could tell Reagan/Bush what they wanted to hear and that same group 20 years later told George Tenet what he wanted to hear so he could tell Chaney what he wanted to hear on Iraq’s WMDs, yellow cake, A-Q training camp, and link to 9/11.
Now know-nothing Gates has only “go along…” generals and a prez who knows nothing of war, so nobody knows what to do in Afghanistan.
Did you see the bit yesterday where skin-head knuckle-dragging Odierno announced that the exit from Iraq might be delayed…shock and awe, not.
Now 1:00 p.m. CST here; no reply yet; don’t think there will be one. If it’s MWOTHY, think I’ll just take your word for it. Don’t have time for mental Cyclops(s).
Color me surprised at the non reply. I’m going out for a bit, will check back here when I get home. Have a nice day.
acquarius, McGovern one of the most important messengers of the truth in this generation. We need to honor him by carrying his brave and passionate messages!
I am still waiting on access to computer that has video power. Sigh. But am looking forward to it. Just read a McGovern article on ICH. He always inspires and gets me indignant about the insanity of so much.
Working on two future diaries. One on health care. One on House and the horrifying resolution about Goldstone Report dismissal. So many fresh hells, eh?
Libby and Blue, I’ll get back to your comments after I review today’s news. Thanks again for input from both of you.
Most computers play videos: mine is ancient and it does. Players have to be downloaded, though. If you come back here, tell me why you think yours cannot. It would be wonderful if all you need to do is download a program. I am barely computer literate, but my son is here to ask questions of. If you leave me the answer as to why you think it can’t, he can maybe help. He asked what browser you use when I mentioned this to him.
blue, thanks. My computer plays videos; have installed Real Player, Flash Player, and Windows player works. It’s flikr that I fight with (to transfer pics into diaries – the only ones allowed by Seminal). And Seminal only allows YouTube and Google videos in diaries.
If your son is still there, please ask him why some videos play straight through without stops (when that wheel goes round and round) and others stop every 3 to 4 words to buffer. I empty cache frequently.
Thanks, bluebutterfly’s Son.
blue, my problem with flikr is that I have to give password I have with Yahoo. Yahoo has given me about 5 passwords and I can’t hit the right combination of ID and password to suit flikr, so they lock me out, and the tool (flikr) cannot be used. At least I think that’s the problem.
He says the problem is at the source. It depends on the website that it comes from. Don’t ask me what he is talking about, but this afternoon when he returns, there is a couple of programs he will give me sites to link to you. He says that sometimes they will help cure the problem.
He doesn’t use Flicker, so knows as much as me..ie..zero..’g’. Try the link; should give you all the help that you need.
I mostly use Firefox but some programs only respond to Internet Explorer and my e-mail (outlook express) uses IE when I click links in mail. I don’t care for IE. I’ve got all the upgrades to FF.
Sorry to take so long to respond to your comment, Libby.
(1) We are in full agreement re Ray McGovern. Even under chemo treatment he keeps on keeping on trying to save America from the massive poisonous pissants in power.
(2) Libby, The whole health care thing is beyond me, and the fight in congress is not really over the issue, it’s over power. They don’t really have a problem with $700 Billion for TARP, or $400 Billion for weaponry and war with more supplementals on the horizon already, so why should taking care of our own people be such a “don’t give an inch” fight? I’ll give you one example: My Rep is John Carter. He’s just today declared that he would fight the House bill and if it passed he would lead the fight to get it repealed next year. Now, I’ve never heard a peep out of him on any issue before. Well, guess what, there is located in my town one of the biggest hospital complexes in TX. It gobbled up all the local clinics and hospitals in about an 8 county area. That hospital was bought out by some big syndicate in the East just before the gobbling-up started. I expect the Big East Syndicate sent him to congress and provides him many perks and campaign money. He probably gets their permission before flushing the toilet.
Libby, my twins were born in 1960. Our Bl/BC thru husband’s job allowed $75.00 for single deliveries and double that for twins. They had to be caesarean. My GP took out my appendix while he was in there. He had 4 doctors in the delivery room because I had nearly died when my second child was born. Know what the GP charged us? $150.00, exactly what the insurance paid. There’s sure not any like him in that Crime Complex that’s taken over our health care here.
(3) The Goldstone report and the sold-out empty suits in congress: Back when the Cast Lead assault on Gaza began I realized there must be a lot I did not understand about Israel; totally stumped that they could rain down on Gaza the Hell they did, starve them, pen them up on that little strip of land (like the Warsaw Ghetto of their own people in WWII). So, I began some heavy duty reading. Long story short, to understand just some of what is the dark core of this “special relationship” between US &
IsraelMossad, please find and read the book, Final Judgment by Michael Collins Piper.Also, consider the number of men in DC who hold dual citizenship, both in this and last administration. Rahm’s grandfather was a member of the Irgun, another member and a founder of the State of Israel was a Russian Jew named Akselrud…probably Geithner, special adviser Kissinger, don’t know about Brzenski. I need to make a more researched list. The infiltration of gov has been going on slowly but surely and ever tighter since end of WWII. I was for all my adult life a strong supporter of Israel and would defend them at the drop of a hat…you see, there was much we did not know and had no way of finding out. It was Gaza that opened my eyes.
Yes, it is shameful that only the US and Israel are ‘right’ and the entire rest of the world is ‘wrong’ about the war crimes both our countries have committed and continue to commit. Blair has become the most hated man in Britain for lying along with Bush about Iraq. The more Obama’s true colors are shown, the more people world-wide will point and ridicule him as a fine-talking puppet. [I suggest you not use any of this inflamatory stuff in your diary, Libby.]
It gets worse…
http://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/133446
That is really bad, blue. I read all 38 comments; only one was unbiased enough to give an opposing view. I also noticed the homeland of the commentators, many from US.
I’ve been looking in my book, Churchill’s Promised Land, for the 1924 ‘treaty’. Just found the section but it may take some time to read. Churchill’s anti-Arabic bias is stated throughout the book. His father, Randolph, owed Rothschild 65,000 pounds when he died. Winston went to school and became life-long friends with Natty Rothschild the son…[more later]
A time line of the Rothchilds.
http://www.iamthewitness.com/DarylBradfordSmith_Rothschild_ori.htm
“The Rothschilds are supporters of the State of Israel, and Baron Edmond James de Rothschild was a patron of the first settlement in Palestine at Rishon-LeZion. In 1917 Walter Rothschild, 2nd Baron Rothschild was the addressee of the Balfour Declaration, which committed the British government to the establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jewish people.
James A. de Rothschild financed the Knesset building as a gift to the State of Israel.
The Supreme Court of Israel building was donated to Israel by Dorothy de Rothschild.”
A salute to AIPAC? Or is she just ignorant? Or both?
*******
“Palin: Jewish Settlements Should Be Allowed to Expand, Because More Jews Are ‘Flocking’ to Israel ”
I can’t choke down any more Palin. Her ego and ignorance combined is GWB on steroids! But remember, her “pastor” laid hands on her and she, like Bush, is ‘called’ to the crusade…as are the fanatical Zionists in their determination.
My book is pitifully lacking on the Palestinian Mandate. The prior page to the one at your link led me to the wiki which got right up to that ‘treaty’ signed 1924 by US but leaves me frustrated by the statement that the US imposed 8 amendments to the British Mandate but does not list them.
That old Zionist peculiarly named Grief spent 25 years studying the legal technicalities of the Israel/Palestine matter; I don’t think I’ll get to the bottom of it in a few hours. People who so narrowly focus on a single subject for 25 years are dancing back and forth over the borders of the misty regions of rationality. Don’t think I’ll join them.
Frankly, I hope old Cyclops Netanyahooo gets behind this movement full force. Then we’ll see what limp-wristed congress does. We’re the last ‘friend’ Israel has. ‘Bout time that special relationship ended.
Ray McGovern tells this story: US invited Israel to become the 51st state. Israel refused. Know why? Because then they would only have two senators.
On to see what else today’s news greets us with…
A PDF..the last two pages..surprise surprise..the 8 amendments were to protect American interests. Did you know that the State of Israel does not become legal until Palestine agrees to it? That is why you constantly hear that there will be no peace until they agree that Israel has a right to exist.
They have some smart people in Australia.
Been over at the link you gave to the Aussies. Yeah, some smart people. I’m no engineer, architect or physicist but when the conditions are explained in layman’s terms as the clip here does, then I’ll throw in with them. Facts don’t matter to the criminals in power who had an interest in that mass murder being pulled-off.
There’s a really good article re Sibel Edmonds at that link. Lotsa good articles. Thanks.
Still no reply over there..’g’.
Now 8:39 p.m.CST here, just checked – no reply. So, I have now put her in the category with the other malcontents. Think I figured out the burr under her saddle. You know, J is very gentlemanly and courteous to the two of us and some others. From G Greenwald’s both she and he have been posting a long time. You take it from there. I’ve experienced that in live contacts before, never dreamed it could happen online. That’s a theory, subject to change. Right now can’t figure out any other explanation at all. Well — no matter, I don’t bend with every wind that blows; in my life some are just passing hot breezes.
Great news. I’ll tell him that he brightened up your life. My totally non political son wouldn’t know if you are well thought of, or not. More than once I’ve told my kids that I must have brought the wrong babies home..’g’. I know what you were going through because the last few months before my hard drive croaked, I had the same problem. Videos would play like Obama talks..in phrases with hesitation between sentences. The teleprompter stutter of sorts..’g’. Gates is the former head of the CIA. That is all we need to know..ie..a satanic soul. Aah, the great Rothschilds..the foremost reason for most of the misery in the world. Churchill ‘gave’ him Israel. How’s that working out for everybody but the Zionists?
Is it April Fool’s Day, or something?
Or, maybe a directed energy job? I better shut up.
Slipped his moorings..haha. Yeah, both of the above does make one think of lots of crude comments..’g’. There is no more doubt, he is one of ‘them’. He conned the American voters courtesy of other people’s speech writing. Not a JFK;he’s the opposite. What on earth was Ted Kennedy thinking?
Well, Ted did have a brain tumor…but, to be honest, I never trusted him.
Funny you said that; the same thing crossed my mind. Who knows how his perceptions were being altered by the tumor? His plane crash and the drowning of Mary Jo were likely failed hits.
A hell of a comment for a non practicing lawyer who apparently studied and taught the Constitution. Respect for the law means innocent until proven guilty. It does not mean contaminating the whole jury pool in the US by announcing he is guilty. I guess that torture thingie does not mean that KSM’s wondrously long confession list was a lie? For F’s sake..KSM was never wanted for 911. Can you say pasty? Kangaroo court?
You’ve heard of the LBJ involvement in the Malcolm Wallace killing of a man named Kinser, huh? Shot 5 times in public – got off with a 5 year suspended sentence. M Wallace went on to kill many people that LBJ ordered killed.
As stated before, John Cornyn was TX Atty General and Alberto Gonzalez was put on the State Supreme Court when W was governor. Depending on who you know and how you can serve them, you can get away with murder; if not – you can’t get away with spitting on the sidewalk.
Cornyn and Halliburton..corruption pals from day one.
A judge rules, in effect, that Katrina was a man made disaster as opposed to a natural one.
“Obama Administration Defending Law that Makes Speech Advocating Human Rights a Terrorist Crime”
http://www.ccrjustice.org/newsroom/press-releases/ccr-files-opening-brief-first-supreme-court-case-challenge-patriot-act
I wish CCR would challenge the whole damn Patriot Act. It’s a statute, not a constitutional amendment, therefore (IMO) is an unconstitutional Act – along with prolonged detention without charge or trial. I’m no lawyer, but I strongly believe that.
What those missing minutes of Nixon’s tape said might be revealed by analyzing Haldeman notes for dents.
http://www.motherjones.com/mojo/2009/11/archives-proceed-csi-ish-watergate-test
Was that the same Haldeman session where Nixon used the phrase “that whole Bay of Pigs thing” as code for the JFK assassination? Is Haldeman still alive?
Verizon is playing games with e-mails sent to Sibel’s blog.
http://www.boilingfrogspost.com/2009/11/18/how-we-discovered-verizons-spamdetector-could-be-twisted-into-a-disguise-for-censorship/
This is good to know. Wonder how many others do same? Verizon was one of those who did the minesweeping for Bush, too…I think.
Not sure if it was the same session. Nope; he died in 1993. Verizon is one of the FISA illegal wiretapping goons. Shaky ground that one..the mistrial thing. Especially considering that he as president is covering up torture authorized by another president. Bloody Holder saying that ‘KSM’ wouldn’t have gotten a NY trial if he wasn’t sure he’d be convicted..aarrgghh. Fire Holder and impeach Obama. Hey, aren’t you going to ask me how come I know Kennedy didn’t kill Mary Jo?
O.K. How? Got a link stashed away? Trade you my opine on the JFK, Jr. assassination.
OK..I’m losing it. I’m going to copy his testimony from the inquest and then give you the link separately. When copied, I have to fix spelling mistakes and try to get some sentences made rather than just a long piece with only 3 or 4 words on each line. Then when I go back for the link, everything here disappears..grrr. When you read his testimony, imagine that he was drugged out cold and didn’t learn of the accident until the next morning. Imagine that he knew exactly who tried to kill him and that if he told the truth, his family would be no more. Perhaps, he woke up in the car and made it out, drugged and confused. He was diagnosed with a concussion from an injury to the top of his head and had a neck injury and a cut as well. He was going to run for president, just as John Jr. was going to. Mary Jo had been Robert Kennedy’s secretary and her room mate was Bobby Baker’s girlfriend. Bad dude, that Baker. Without looking for the names, and again losing all my work, one of the men present was Ted’s cousin who had been raised with him after his parents died. Another was CIA. I know what you are saying, and it might be best not to give me a link. Too recent a history to get into here, I think. I do know who was at the airport that morning making sure all would go as planned. This is not an eggshell; it is a whole carton..’g’. I will go get the inquest testimony now. It will take me a few minutes.
Uh-oh; didn’t know of this mess. Yeah, I can see where it leads. [the Billie Sol Estes/Bobby Baker mess and LBJ, “Tell Bobby if he takes the fall for this there’s $1 Million dollars for him” (paraphrased). Last count = 17 murders…
The same group of deadly people over and over; the perpetual circle of death and corruption. With these pictures, start at #7 and work backwards to #1. Again, you can click on full screen. As you go through them, look for the upside down car. The #1 money picture is the vital one. I won’t say more. I want your impression of it without me giving mine first.
http://www.boston.com/news/specials/kennedy/day3_gallery_accident/#/7
pic #3, car is plainly right-side up under water; pic 1 man is sitting on undercarriage of car waiting… [what hap'd? tide come in? (/s).
That was probably a 68 or 69 Olds 88, heavy as a tank; didn't fall far to water, that much damage to that heavy duty car from this going off the bridge with no guardrails?? Big dent on top (should have popped out windshield? Only popped out driver's side window?? I presume TK was driving...head injuries...developed brain tumor later in life...what came through that window? Car really right-side up in water; what caused huge dent in top of car? Am I leaving out too many words?
Could steering column guts have been monkeyed with? No, that would not have determined the exact location that the 'accident' would happen..when did remote control capability for autos become available? Who was CIA man at party (man? woman?) Too much is too hazy for me during that period - I returned to employment in June, 1969 and carrying full responsibilities for family...just surviving. [led to my independence in '75]
I think perhaps it was even worse. That ship was ordered inside of the 200 mile limit for international waters. That should not have happened. It was a trick to justify an attack on Egypt that failed. Two countries had to be involved. I don’t buy too many books. Just use the library, the internet or Scribd, usually. I haven’t ever been able to find when the first payment was made to Israel. I wonder if it was taken from the CIA black ops budget?
Even if you weren’t busy struggling to survive, you’d not have had access to much of this information. You and the rest of us were living in the era of the government wouldn’t lie nonsense..’g’. So, even if we read any of this stuff, we would not have had the knowledge to put 2 and 2 together to make 4. When Kennedy was shot, did you not believe Oswald did it? I did. So did 99% of the rest of the people. We had no reason not to.
Nope, never bought the Oswald did it story. The first thought that came to most Texans that I knew was “Johnson did it”, we knew too much about that scoundrel and he had everything to gain and could cover it all up. Have you noticed that L Bird and M Brown both look very much like the pic of Josepha Johnson?? hmmmm.
Aside from reading that excerpt to honor his brother, TK could very well have been telling at least his family that there had to be things he could never tell, no matter the price.
I’ll look in book (FJ) and see if there is a clue to who the CIA man might have been, also if TK is written about. (I’m still in process of reading it). Now back to your explanations and the composite pics.
Look at this picture, again. Damage to the chrome on the right end of the bumper (not level) and the right side of the trunk is slightly indented. A crack runs across the upper right corner. All in all, damage on all sides, the front, the back, and the top. The likelihood of that from falling in the water and landing right side up is…? I’ve never had cornbread, but not too many things smell nicer than bread when it is baking..yum.
http://www.boston.com/news/specials/kennedy/day3_gallery_accident/#/6
I think he’s sitting on the trunk as I can see some of it extending behind him. Why all that swirling dark water when in other pics it’s so clear you can see the sun glinting off the pebbles on bottom?? That wide info bar runs across right in middle of pic, hides too much. All that damage — sorta like there had been a ramming chase before the bridge, huh? But what could had done so much damage to top? Yeah, I noticed the sprung trunk on right side, yet it’s still locked?
The 2 girls living in that Bobby Baker hotel…that was his high dollar house of ill repute. Who threw the B-B-Q cook-out? That hotel was ‘used’ by members of ‘the hill’. [no Kopeckne in book, some TK, some B Baker]. Later.
“What is most shocking by far is the treatment accorded to Mr.Kennedy and the witnesses. There was no real attempt to cross-examine them, to try to
ascertain the facts. They were permitted to tell their stories and to leave the stand, the contradictions in their testimony unquestioned. And other lapses were never challenged. For example, neither the Judge nor District Attorney Edmund Dinis bothered to match Mr. Kennedy’s statements on a variety of points. Rather early in his testimony, Mr. Kennedy was
asked by Mr. Dinis:
“Q. Well, Mr. Kennedy, was
the window on the driver’s side,
the driver’s door, open?
“A. Yes, it was.”
When he was describing his actions after his Oldsmobile had gone into Chappaquiddick Creek, however, Mr. Kennedy stated: “I can remember
feeling along the side to see if the window was open and the window was closed.” A few minutes later, however, he was asked:
“Q. Was the window closed
at the time?
“A. The window was open.
“Q. On the driver’s side
“A. That’s correct,”
Again, when Mr. Kennedy was asked what Miss Kopechne was wearing at the time of her death, he answered, “Only from what I have read in the—” then
he stopped himself and said, “I understand, slacks and a blouse, sandals, perhaps a sweater.”
This rather strange response was never picked up. In describing the night on which the death occurred, he first said, “It was clear, extremely dark.” But when he was asked if his headlights were on high beam, he avoided the question but added, “If there is a mist you see better with low beams.” “
The link to his testimony. In little while, I will link to some pictures that can each be enlarged to full screen. To get out afterward..hit the escape tab(Esc). Just in case this closes first, I just wanted you to know that the above isn’t all of my evidence.
FDL has been overhauling the system, lotsa mess-ups. Can’t get “read more” pages here at Seminal.
I’ll answer all your latest comments now in case closes. The TK-MJ mess happened at a time in my life that I needed to be 10 people; married then, 5 kids, all things to all people, etc [you wouldn't know about that, huh? *g*]
I didn’t have time to read the full stories of anything. Your link’s revelations will be news to me. Para: About JFK Jr: I know who was at airport and also whose whereabouts cannot be tracked for 3 days at that time, so I think we are on the same wave length there. Going to your link now. Thanks.
Picture #2..the scuba diver allegedly finding Mary Jo’s body. Picture #3..note the damage. Severely dented left door and the windows gone..roof smashed in..windshield damaged..damage to license plate, chrome bumper cracked and damage to the chrome around the headlight. Also, damage to the very front left panel at the top corner. OK..the water was only 6 to 7 feet deep there and the window on the driver’s side was smashed out as well..(can’t see that in this picture). So, how did this happen; this amazing both sides of the car, the roof, and the front end landing? It couldn’t happen that way. Going off of the bridge would have had one point of impact. The car was just past the bridge..ie..it was not flying through the air for any distance and it did not flip and bounce to cause damage to all sides. I have to get some more pictures. Remember that Teddy, the scuba diver, the sheriff, etc. said the car was upside down. Never married..two kids..no support from family..I think that I know what you are saying..’g’.
http://www.boston.com/news/specials/kennedy/day_3_gallery/#/2
“The documentary uses elements of various assassination theories with a number of very credible witnesses. This includes testimony from the woman who claimed to have been Johnson’s former mistress, Madeleine Duncan Brown, as well as from one of LBJ’s former attorneys, Barr McClellan. If the name sounds familiar, he’s the father of George W. Bush’s former press secretary, Scott McClellan, and the Bush’s former Medicare and Medicaid chief, Dr. Mark McClellan.
In 2003, Barr McClellan published a book, Blood, Money & Power: How L.B.J. Killed J.F.K..
Bizarrely, Mary Jo Kopechne of Chappaquiddick fame was a secretary to Sen. George Smathers in 1963. Her roommate at the time in the Washington area was Carole Tyler, who was a secretary of bad boy Bobby Baker, close associate of LBJ. You could say that at the time Bobby Baker was Vice President Johnson’s Scooter Libby.
But Baker was allegedly an all-around ne’er-do-well, particularly in association with casino interests in the Caribbean and military contractors. Since Baker is still alive, his stories are not yet fully told. Baker owned the house where Tyler and Kopechne were roommates, which he continued to use for hosting various parties while the girls lived there.
Later, Carole Tyler was said to be quite upset when Baker didn’t leave his wife to marry her — and she unfortunately died in 1965 in the crash of small plane in Ocean City, Maryland, where Baker owned the Carousel Hotel, on the beach at 118th Street. Notably, in November, 1963, Baker made the cover of Life Magazine above a headline, “Bobby Baker’s Bombshell,” which told of a Department of Justice investigation into tax evasion and fraud in regards to the financing of the construction of the massive Carousel resort a year or two earlier.
1) LBJ, who feared going to jail as a consequence of RFK’s investigations of his former aide, Bobby Baker, as well as those of his hatchet-men associates, Billie Sol Estes and Malcolm Wallace. Almost unbelievably, Wallace’s fingerprint was found with a rock-solid 34-point match on a cardboard box that partly enclosed the “sniper’s nest” on the 6th floor of the Texas School Book Depository in Dallas. Wallace, in the documentary, is a reputed LBJ hitman. His fingerprint-match was discovered in 1998 but the FBI subsequently suppressed the information, which had actually been advanced to them by the Dallas Police.
At the very least, Johnson would have been unceremoniously dumped from the 1964 Democratic ticket by JFK. Few historians dispute that point. ”
blue, I have the book by Barr McClellan and have read it. As my near and dear said, you’d have to be a Texan to believe it. It’s not too bizarre for this place. I have watched that forbidden chapter of the History Channel and downloaded it. Need to burn it to CD. I had no idea that there was a Kopeckne connection. Para: Think back to last years of WWII in Europe. CIA-Mossad connection heavily interconnected. Little known fact about JFK/Ben Gurion relationship is that they had a bitter fight; BG wanted nukes, JFK adamantly refused. BG resigned in disgust; succeeded by Mossad man formerly in charge of assassinations. After assassination, LBJ reversed all JFK’s stands re Israel. When USS Liberty happened, LBJ brought down the secrecy curtain and he ordered the rescue flights to return to carrier – didn’t want his friends to be embarrassed by the ‘accident’ (Mossad had the dirt on him and could bring him down – no matter if one of their’s who would be branded a ‘rogue’ had to be sacrificed). This link in the JFK story is in the book I’ve been touting, Final Judgment by Michael Collins Piper. I have the 1998 publication and the 2005 pub (more pages and updated info). Price at abebooks and amazon has skyrocketed since I ordered mine. Suggest you check out your library.
I have to go and look for the name, but it was male. That was by memory from awhile ago. The car was never upside down and it was a 68 Olds 88..Sherman tank quality in other words..’g’. Both passenger windows and the driver’s window were gone. Back window fine and windshield smashed. Now..the first picture. It said he was sitting on the under carriage. So, you assumed that it is what you were looking at. Nope.The car was right side up; always. The picture of the car under water shows the water hitting the top of the car..you can see a bit of wave where it does. The water is clear. The body would have been visible. The sheriff got there by walking out to the car..he couldn’t have had to swim more than a couple of feet. When he got there, he’d have been able to see in the car because there was no driver’s window to block his view. Hmmm..no pictures of her body. The only picture ever seen is just before she is put into the airplane. Was she there? Anyone’s guess. If she was, she was somehow weighted down because otherwise she would have floated out. The water there is salty..would have added to the float ability. She might have been there, but either way, her blouse had blood on the back of it. Explained away by the scuba diver saying it must have come from her nose or mouth after she died. Oh yeah. Instead of dispersing in the water, it drained down her back. No autopsy was done. Assumed death by drowning.
Back to picture #1. It is a composite picture. Pretty crude, but this was not the era of photo shopping..’g’. He is sitting on the roof and his feet are hanging down the back window. Look at how his legs are extended downward. Couldn’t do that if it was the under carriage. The one picture from far away shows his arms down as he is bracing himself against the current. Look behind him in #1. You see the outline of the roof of the car. You can tell for sure because the water is not going over top of the alleged under carriage. It is stopping behind him as it hits the roof of the car. I know that it is hard to see, but look behind him..for about two feet there are no waves..just a dark area. Not to mention that if he was sitting on the underneath of the bumper, his butt would have been mighty sore; especially when he was wearing only a bathing allegedly borrowed from a neighbor because he just knew somehow that there had to be a body in there. Bumpers were made out of steel back then and they were sharp underneath.
Look at the chrome strip at what is actually the top of the back window where he sits. They forgot to take it all out of the picture. Even more telling is that there appears to be two partial ones. The water was clear and that picture was close up. The alleged under carriage should have been clearly visible, but it is not. Lots of funny and blurry swirls of water that camouflage it almost totally. The red in the water is the tail light. How did it go from rectangular to horizontal? He is seems to have the fuel tank under him..the light patch is the fuel tank. How did the tail lights and the fuel tank get on opposite ends of the car?
My opinion is that the car was smashed somewhere else and placed in the water there. A crude composite picture was pieced together in a big hurry as the cover story for the smashed roof. Car accidents and drugs that wreck the memory is a known specialty of some. The sheriff lied, his deputies lied, and the scuba diver lied. I’ll get you Kennedy’s sworn statement next.
It has set in to rain here, looks like one that comes and stays. I have to bake cornbread to go with beans ‘n taters, and a cake for my sweet tooth. I don’t get out in such weather. Will check in again soon.
If I am correct, and he survived an assassination attempt that he could not speak of; these words are haunting. He is telling us that he had a choice. It is from the NY Daily news. I had to remove the link because it was too long.
“On television Friday night, Ted quoted from his brother’s book, “Profiles in Courage.” “A man does what he must — in spite of personal consequences, in spite of obstacles and dangers and pressure — and that is the basis of all human morality …. Whatever may be the sacrifices he faces if he follows his conscience — the loss of his friends, his fortune, his contentment, even the esteem of his fellow-men — each man must decide for himself the course he will follow. The stories of past courage … cannot supply courage itself. For this each man must look into his own soul.” “
Here is his police statement. He didn’t know how to spell her name..he left a blank. He knew the area, the road, and the bridge well. In this statement he writes as if he didn’t. Two tries to get the on the roof story straight.
Can’t read that scratched out line. Those K’s knew Martha’s Vineyard in and out = no way he not familiar with the road “off main street”. He seems to be writing what he knew he better say, not what happened.
blue, here are Chpts 5 – 9 of FJ, ‘the book’. I’ll see if other chpts are online.
Have to share this e-mail body with you:
Don’t talk to my parrot …
Wanda’s dishwasher quit working so she called in a repairman. Since she had to go to work the next day, she told the repairman, ‘I’ll leave the key under the mat. Fix the dishwasher, leave the bill on the counter, and I’ll mail you a check. Oh, by the way don’t worry about my dog Spike. He won’t bother you.’
‘But, whatever you do, do NOT, under ANY circumstances, talk to my parrot!
‘I MUST STRESS TO YOU: DONOT TALK TO MY PARROT!!!’
When the repairman arrived at Wanda’s apartment the following day, he discovered the biggest, meanest looking dog he has ever seen. But, just as she had said, the dog just lay there on the carpet watching the repairman go about his work.
The parrot, however, drove him nuts the whole time with his incessant yelling, cursing and name calling.
Finally the repairman couldn’t contain himself any longer and yelled, ‘Shut up, you stupid, ugly bird!’
To which the parrot replied, ‘Get him Spike!’
See – Men just don’t listen!
[the accompanying pics of Spike (big, mean bulldog) and the parrot were great]
I googled FJ and got this, FJ in e-book form @ $10.. has a good description and reviews by notable people. You’ll get the gist of why I’m so hung up on it. [I'll be mightily surprised if you have not already been here. *g*]
Aha! Here’s the entire 771 pages of FJ on scribd.
I haven’t found out how to go to the next page at scribd. Will you tell me, teach?
