If President Barack Obama seems ‘too popular’, and that is one’s reason to scream at the system, I object to whatever premise leads to the charge.
SIMPLE TRANSLATION: OBAMA IS NOT AT FAULT for what anyone experienced during the inauguration, unless you count charisma, good will and respect for others as character defects.
If your sole target for ire is the people trying to cope with a monstrous crowd, and who were so overwhelmed by the crush that they could not adequately cope, I would re-direct your complaint. They are doing what they were sent to do, under conditions over which they had no control. The bosses maybe, the planners, those issuing tickets could have done a whole lot more to plan this eclectic event. But… who knew the strength of the reaction in our country until people finally gave a great, grateful sigh of relief?!
Lord-a-mercy, there was everything from the FIRST inauguration appearance of representatives from The Crow Nation, Nez Perce et al, all the way through magnificent marching bands and representatives from all the armed services to countless others representing innumerable states, communities, ethnic and life choices.
Is there a problem with this? I think not.
A Hearty Welcome to You, President Obama, and your delightful family. Keep moving, sir. I suspect those daughters are developing career choices as we speak, and Michelle, well… Bless you, Michelle for putting your career on hold to help your wonderful family try to put this wonderful country on such an incredibly positive track.
