Dear Jane.
Thank you for your considerable part in accomplishing what we now celebrate.
We had, at some points in past decades, thought there was no hope.You gave us reason to keep up the good fight.
Congratulations, Dear Lady.
Get some well-earned rest. We will keep up the watch, but with less anxiety at long last thanks, in no small part, to your efforts and expertise..

I’ll second that. Much of what we have seen occur has been the result of Jane, and others, in opening up a new channel of communication and discourse that overcame the “cone of silence” that has been the norm in the Main Stream Media. I think that only recently have we seen the recognition that they actually had competitors for the public trust and that they were being disbelieved. In some cases they were incredulous that this was actually happening. I recall the cringing of Charlie Gibson at the catcalls he received after the Democratic debate. He must have wondered “Why aren’t these people swallowing our ‘Truth”.
As the economy tightens let us hope that we can channel enough of our hard-earned incomes to support FDL and others. Perhaps we can even see that the MSM, supported as it is by the lobbyists and corporations that have wanted to control more and more of our lives, will become even more marginalized.

I have to chime in here. Jane is absolutely fearless when it comes to taking on the bad guys and building up the good guys. What a wonderful team she’s built!

Perfect, Adie; I’m so glad you posted this.
FDL (all of its contributors) has contributed so much to my perspective of events and policy. Sometimes by informing, some through rousing to anger, some by sharing much needed humor.
If I tried to name all the contributors, I’d no doubt leave out very important names. I hope that you all will receive this as thanks to you as well, knowing that Jane has been an amazing force in assembling and guiding such an amazing group of people.
OT- Jane, you look fabulous in the photos from the Ball(s) you’ve shared!
Y’all are choking me up, but remember, the reverse is true.
You guys and gals all give us hope to keep plugging away. It’s a community building, self-reinforcing cycle.

You have saved the sanity of lots of us as we followed you from the Oregon coast to the other side of the U.S., worrying about your health, the poodles, and the country. Thanks just doesn’t cover it.

It’s mid-eve here and I finally got a chance to see a re-run of today’s happenings in the USA Executive branch of REAL government, thanks to C-Span.
I’m awed! Oh heck. I’m in tears of gratitude and emotional release from waiting these l-o-n-g eight years plus. Hillary is fantastic. Mitchell, Holbrook. Our magnificent new Presidential team. The MSM finally beginning to figure out that this administration will be a tightly controlled TEAM effort, WITH BRILLIANT LEADERSHIP and also much leeway for fine-tuning of policy as advised by ongoing analysis by people who really KNOW what they are doing, and who CARE about others.
OMG, I needed this. I think we all did. *sniffle*
