Obama-apologists are actually Neo-Liberals, not “Liberals”, as they are complicit in defending Obama’s unconstitutional “drone strikes”.
Obama-apologists are Centrists. We Progressives are the only people on the Left.

Obama is a Murderer. Those who support him or vote for him are Conspiring to Murder. I think that political philosophy whereat it’s OK to kill people to get one’s way is sometimes called “Fascism.”
Obama and his people are particularly fond of droning funerals. Per Glenzilla this morning:

Center of what? Issue by issue, the American public is well to the left of Obama. As best I can tell, Obama has found the center of the money, the center of the 1%.

I agree that the drone strikes are murder–summary executions without due process, at the very least, and probably, cumulatively, crimes against humanity.
But you confuse neoliberalism–the dominant economic philosophy of our time, which equates completely unregulated market conditions with the public good–and the bankrupt phenomenon that plain old liberalism always was. Historically, liberals pacted with conservatives in the creation of bourgeois democracy; the deal required them to support the acts of the colonial state, war powers, primitive accumulation in foreign lands, etc. We’re talking 500 years of ugly in which the middle class ALWAYS viscerally sides with the ugly acts of a belligerent state because it doesn’t want to lose its houses, its jobs, etc. You cannot disconnect the drone strikes from the larger project, the 700 US bases the country maintains, the militarization of Africa, supporting dictatorship in Honduras, etc. To isolate the drones–awful as they are–as some kind of moral outrage when it is part of a panoply of systematic actions by the racist state/construct that Obama enthusiastically presides over is naive.

If Al-Qaeda sets off a bomb at a funeral that they think a CIA official might attend and kill a couple dozen women and children, is that terrorism? Is it a war crime? Is it a crime against humanity? Would it make any difference if the bomb were delivered from the air?
