What is happening in Syria is a travesty. The governments and the media in The USA and Europe are once again complicit in war crimes. The so-called “activists” in Syria are nothing more than Western-sponsored terrorists that use violence against civilians as a tool of ‘regime change.” They are the actors responsible for the massacres. The propaganda being spewed by the Western media are the same lies that have prefaced every war since the advent of modern central banks. If things continue to unfold as they have unfolded since the beginning of the Syrian crises, we in the West will be once again complicit in the wholesale slaughter of innocent civilians. Please help keep this from becoming another Yugoslavia, Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, etc etc etc. Tell everyone that the news is full of shit.

Which set of rebels? There are several. That’s one reason that Obama is resisting Romney’s calls to aid the rebels, despite what Russian media are saying.
Meanwhile, Russia (aka Putin) is starting to ease towards the exits where Assad is concerned, perhaps seeing Syria as a bargaining chip it can use in its long-running “great game” with the US and China.
The rebels with the modern European and American weapons:

You know, the weapons most rag-tag people’s armies have just lying around….

This regime change genie is way out of the bottle with all the regional power players with some varying degrees of interest, but not enough to piss off the Saudis or Iran, in order to assume control or even take the lead in negotiations,… but with whom is just the first problem.
We are yet early on in witnessing the cluster-fuck of a people unluckily born in a country whose next political metamorphosis, like those previous, will be both painful and bloody; indeed another Arab twilight zone, where human rights / dignity is a fairly new concept. Their humanity was shown to them by internet access; which has become the fuse in another Arab country’s evolutionary explosion.
This one is too close to the Saudi’s for comfort, scary fuel prices vs children’s blood, which will win?
Syria is only one of the 15 or 20 wargasms that O has going right now.
It just occurred to me that the 56 military/spook international interventions that the U.S. did in the 60 years after WWII (all to a negative outcome for the 99ers in those countries) were the good old quaint days. Now the U.S. can do a score of them simultaneously.

It’s not as though U.S. et al aren’t arming oppo to the teeth. If they didn’t have sophisticated weapons, Assad would have made toast of them a year ago.
