"alt="A Message to President-Elect Obama from 10 Year OId Reporter Damon Weaver" />
According to the Palm Beach Post:
Now that he’s interviewed VP-elect Joe Biden and made him his homeboy, Pahokee fifth-grader Damon Weaver is working the top of the ticket.
In his latest video, the K.E. Cunningham/Canal Point Elementary School student and YouTube sensation vies for an interview with the president-elect.
"Hello, President-elect Obama. I am Damon Weaver and I want to interview you," the video opens.
It would be the capstone on his young career. He has earned fans across the country for his taped interviews with Biden, Caroline Kennedy, Google CEO Eric Schmidt, and Florida politicians. The one with Hillary Clinton didn’t work out. He and his videographer forgot to turn the camera on.
C’mon Mr. President. It’s obvious this boy is you when you were 10. Better get on board now so you can say someday, "I knew him when…" C’mon, give the kid a break. Give him an interview. You know you want to!

Oh, he will. He’ll have to, once Malia and Sasha get wind of the story.
The Pres has to have the kid vetted first. The young journalist may have designs on either daughter. So Dad must watch out for them!
Carter granted me an interview when I was 13. It was great! Unfortunately, there were no videotape recorders at the time. Just my notes and the article I wrote.
Reagan refused and said he never does “student” interviews.
Would that dubya had tried, heh.
but enough! i promised myself not to think of him further. duh who?
