I thought that my brothers and sisters might appreciate the sentiments of this little exhortation I wrote and posted elsewhere some time ago:
Consume, produce, be silent, obey. That is all the plutocrats want from us worker bees. We can do so much more. We can: demand answers, refuse to cooperate in our own destruction, create, educate, and agitate. We can report injustices to our brothers and sisters. In short, break out of our selfish “bubbles,” look around, define and solve problems.
If not now, when? If not us, who?
Solidarity Forever!!

The inspiration for this came from an enormous wall of beautiful graffiti art I saw in the borough of Queens, NY, that had the following text at its center: “Consume, Be Silent, Obey”
Were you wearing your glasses or not, Nada?
Would those be rose-colored glasses?
I love some graffiti that I see nowadays!
One American activist who certainly saw things clearly, and not through rose-colored glasses, was Aaron Swartz. Contemporaneous demonstrations will be held in Boston and Washington, D.C. this Friday afternoon, 1/25/2013. For details:
