I have worked as an ICU nurse for 17yrs. in the public, private and military sector (both on active duty and in the VA). Government health care is the best care available. Tricare, for active duty and families is high quality and easily accessible. The VA consistently rates higher in quality and positive patient outcomes than private sector for profit hospitals.
ALL Americans deserve that same top quality care.
The time has come for insurance companies to stop raping average people for BILLIONS of dollars in profit each year. This is far worse than unfair…it is immoral and costs lives. Forcing them to compete for survival will not drive them out of buisness. Perhaps they only make 10 billion a year instead of 950 billion if government competion forces them to change their ways.
A public option is the only way to stop th madness and break their financial grip on the nation’s economy. Obama was elected to do this job! We need to stand strong with him and stop the lunicy that the GOP tries to spew to the public. This is our time to support him and save our country. Health care is a right, not a luxury.
