I don’t mean to promote the politics of despair and apathy, but this is funny as HELL and brilliant.

Superb, athena!!!
Recommended to the entire FDL community.
Perhaps our ultimate power, as the people, is the ability and courage to laugh at the absurd gyrations of the ruling class or, at least those whose “job” is to protect and further the “interests” of the ruling class.
This is especially so, and necessary, in a in a nation, an empire, really, which pretends, very badly, to be a “democracy” and claims to honor the rule of law.

Thanks DW!
It’s refreshing to just laugh at it. I get myself emotionally tied up in knots trying to deal with it all Seriously. And I do think it deserves serious treatment, I mean, as a parent who is escorting little kids into adulthood in this very real world.
But Jeez…a break from the seriousness is really nice. Coz it is a ridiculous spectacle.
LOL! Thanks. I, and I’m sure a whole lot of other people, needed that.
Recc’d.
New Feudal Order Puppets–they’re soooo cute. And, their wives too!
Recommended for great justice!

I first started equating Obama’s economic policies to Romney’s in 2009 (when it was far from apparent that Mitt would run in 2012, much less be the nominee).
I first started calling Obama “Black Romney” (later “Blackface Romney”, “Half-black Romney”, “Semi-Black Romney” and so on) in 2010.
Now that the Romney Twins are our nominees and a Romney victory is ensured in November, it is perversely amusing to listen to their voices joined in a choir of Wall Street-approved Austerity of Hope platitudes.
Brilliant work by the vidders, and thanks to you for posting it.
PS-the only part that got me truly angry was watching the wives being prostituted out as empathy-bots, their functions limited to telling us how much they and their man suffered together. I know political wives are by definition anti-feminist icons, but the stereo “we wuz SOOOOO poor!” tales just really rubbed me the wrong way. JMO.
(“How poor were they, Johnny?” “They were so poor, they couldn’t afford the second ‘o’ and the “r”…they were just “po’”!) *
*-with apologies to George Foreman, who actually said the line I have adapted here.
Hey! This game is rigged! I’ve played it over and over… Romney wins every time. :-P
TY Athena1!
