I have written about this before — but the Arizona Health Care Freedom Act is the VERY best way for Progressives to stick their finger in the eye of a Congress and White House that is bought and paid for by corporate lobbyists.
Yes, it seems crazy to support anything Steve Forbes likes– but, the simple fact is this will protect us from the mandate that Jane has so brilliantly referred to as making "the IRS the collection agency for Aetna".

Talk about throwing out the baby with the bathwater. This amendment would also ban any requirement for enrollment in government programs, e.g., Medicare. Can you say “nullification”?

Kool-Aidtea!Actually no — the amendment does not impact any law or rule in effect prior to Jan 1, 2009… so Medicare TOTALLY unaffected
I don’t know what to think of this proposal. Novack, (the ortho surgeon) seems to oppose the bill because it goes too far. We oppose the bill because it doesn’t go far at all. I’m not sure which point of view this law would buttress.
