In The End of America, published in 2007, Naomi Wolf says: "But we are not wracked by rioting in the streets or a major depression here in America today. That is why the success that the Bush administration has had in invoking "Islamofascism" is so insidious: We have been willing to trade our key freedoms for a promised state of security in spite of our living in conditions of overwhelming stability, affluence and social order."
How quickly things change. The Bush administration has managed to create a major depression in America. Unfortunately, being shut of them does not guarantee our recovery.
I recommend the book to all who are interested in the renewed growth of fascism in America.

Hope ’twas merely misunderstanding (went back to look – but could not tell for certain. ‘Breakdowns’ in civility do occur, here, but, thankfully, as you know, bb, that is rarely so).
I always thought Odd Mommy was OK. She was a yalie (yalette?), a JD in DC. She used to have a facebook account. I would like to give her the benefit of the doubt and think she was completely shitfaced when she wrote that. She had recently gotten caught up in a heated
arguementdiscussion involving those who must not be mentioned. Ask Mearscheimer and Walt for information on exactly how that works. At some point she said people like Raven should stfu and you can pretty much imagine how that went over.
