NBC boss: Jon Stewart’s criticism absurd, unfair
NBC Universal Chief Executive Jeff Zucker fired back at comedian Jon Stewart on Wednesday, saying it was "unfair" and "absurd" for the funnyman to criticize CNBC and question its coverage of financial news.
"Everybody wants to find a scapegoat. That’s human nature," Zucker said during a keynote address at a media industry conference. "But to suggest that the business media or CNBC was responsible for what is going on now is absurd.""Just because someone who mocks authority says something doesn’t make it so," Zucker said, describing the comedian’s comments as "completely out of line." Methinks the lady doth protest too much…
Zucker is absurd and unfair. After all, he brought us “Heroes” and “LawnOrder”
Yeah, he knows exactly what his bosses back at GE wanna hear.
He also made some claims about ratings. He kind of passed over that whole part about “ad-revenue.”
Apparently Zucker has never actually watched CNBC.
“Just because someone who mocks authority says something doesn’t make it so,” No the video tape of Cramer talking does that.
NO your business coverage is

So how much of your personal and/or corporate investments have been based on the advice of your in-house geniuses, Mr. Zucker?
dickweed.
Zucker said absolutely nothing. It might as well have been, “I’m insulted because of this insult and furthermore, I’m insulted”.
That was something else. Out of line, indeed. I wrote about the same thing today; one more outrage among the many.

Touchy isn’t he?
Did he actually WATCH the video? The Cramer creep tied himself in knots with lies that could be disproved using his own publically recorded words. Cramer could only shrug and look uncomfortable when caught!
It’s sad that we have to rely on a comedian for solid reporting. I mean, it’s not like Stewart was being funny, much less mocking. He was asking questions, listening patiently to the lying responses, and then extracting the truth by showing the contradictions in the liars’ own words.
In this age when “24″-style thuggery passes for intelligence gathering, we’ve forgotten what REAL interrogation is. Mr. Stewart hasn’t forgotten.
I hear that followed by ”Sufferin’ Succotash!”
