Occupy Supply is making a difference.
Occupy Erie has faced 7 devastating raids but refuses to quit, thanks in-part to the tireless support of the Firedoglake community. Our liaison Mark H. wrote in a post last week:
“While the supplies sent have been greatly welcomed, the knowledge that this front in the Occupy Movement is not forgotten is a gift that warms us like the summer sun.”
The police are trying to drive occupiers out of the park by seizing their blankets and sleeping bags, so they’ve asked Occupy Supply for arctic lined coveralls to keep them warm at night. If they won’t give up, we won’t give up on them. Can you help?
As always, 100% of your donation will be used to purchase and distribute supplies to the occupations.
Don’t miss Mark’s post — and happy new year!

Thanks so much, Brian.
We already sent inflatable 2″ mats that act as a barrier from the cold ground, and we’re getting sizes for arctic suits. We’re going to be testing a variety of solutions to see which one serves them best. It’ll be cold everywhere come February, and hopefully Occupy Erie will help us figure out how Occupy Supply can best protect people when it comes.
Huzzah! Mark H. and thank you to the Erie Occupy-ers.
Just unbelievable the guts and stamina of these Occupiers everywhere.
Donated again, the least I can do.
Thanks shark babe. Their commitment is totally inspirational.
I support Occupy Supply! So proud of the work that FDL is doing. Check is in the mail…..and I really mean that!
Plus: Saw my first anti-Obama bumper stickers on a car at the grocery store:
1) Anyone But Obama 2012
2) (with a picture of a smug Obama gazing skyward): Does this ass make my car look big?
Since it’s based in the center of a thriving agricultural area, Occupy Lancaster has found that thick beds of straw provide good base insulation for tents.
Thank you Dearie! I am so proud of the FDL community that makes OS possible. Thanks so much for being a part of it.
I’m loving the way FDL has become a blog of action. Not only this Occuply Supply comfort being bought with donations, but the way members have stepped up to the plate with their time and energy.
This is such an incredible grassroots, organic movement of Good Works.
Proud of you, Jane and proud of all who are contributing in so many ways.
7 raids by “Official Visitors?” Much admiration for the persistence of the Erie occupiers. They are making a difference. May their antagonizers fold. Soon.
toc toc, the clock missed a beat,
let’s make our dinner with richman meat
we are the 99
Stay strong Erie good job Mark. Thank you occupy supply for making a difference. We are truly in this together.
Straw is a great insulator, but that is straw, not hay, for you non-agrarians out there. Hay has vegetable matter in it that will rot, straw is primarily cellulose.
We are doing everything we can to keep the Occupation alive. Your support, both financial and moral, are critical. Thank you all for your support of this Movement, in Erie and across not just the Country, but the World.
Official visitors first were police and city workers, now city workers accompanied by the head of the permit and licensing department. We have also lost generators, car batteries, and perhaps inverters. Thank you ghostof911.
