Nate Silver does some crunching on Healthcare with some Gallup provided numbers …
"Throughout last year, Gallup included a module on health and well being in their standard tracking surveys. This meant they had tens of thousands of interviews between all 435 Congressional Districts. One of the questions on the well-being module was about whether or not people had health insurance. Eric Nielsen at Gallup was kind enough, a while back, to send me these results broken down by Congressional District"
"The median Congressional District has an uninsured population of 14.6 percent" . . .
Nate provides us with two lists: those above the median and those below it – Those delineated in blue are Blue Dog Districts that went for McCain in 08:

let’s hear from some of these fierce advocates -
here’s Mister 25.8% Of My Constituents Are Uninsured: Dan Boren
"I’m against them the way they’re shaping up," declared Boren in an interview with KTOK News, a day after he and 51 other so-called Blue Dog Democrats met and took a stand that has stalled movement of the President’s reforms.
He agreed with others that the plan comes from the liberal left of the party, is too costly and will raise taxes."
In checking his current contributions, the Medical/Insurance Complex isn’t well represented in his Top 10, apparently he just feels the need to be the Bluest Blew Dog he can be.
How ’bout Marion Berry (AR-1)?
oh hell, let’s let John Wilson of El Dorado, president of the grassroots group the Conservative Action Project, speak to Congressman Salazar’s stance:
I’m very happy with what the Blue Dog Coalition did …, to come out and say that they’re not ready to just turn over our health care to the government,”
MIC bats clean up at 4th place among his contributors, – but on pace to all but double 08 levels - funny that
I will add more in the comments – (don’t want Heath Shuler to feel left out doncha know) too many linkies in this post and it wont publish:D
did I mention Seer Silver has a bottom line ?!?!?:
A lot of the time, these guys are stuck in a tough spot between their party and their constituents. Here, those interests are mostly aligned. If a lot of the people on the top half of this list are voting against health care, first check the lobbying numbers, and then check to see if they’re still in office four years hence.

p.s. Boren’s consituents suffer more than most Oklahoman’s – the state’s average is 18.3%
p.s.s. and o/t – but what the hell is Boren doing taking $3k from Koch Industries ?!?!?
Boren is a Republican. He’s a DINO. As with clowns like Ben Neslson, he’s only a Democrat because it was easier to further his career ambition.
