A State Of Terror;
Of The Few, By The Few And For The Few
The United States of America, at this time, is the primary conduit, instrument and catalyst, employed by an age-old line of supremacists, in the finalisation of an ancient quest for global totalitarianism.
The last remaining superpower, now an unmitigated rogue state, is being used as both the sharp end of the stick, to back everyone into a corner, and a blunt instrument to beat them into submission.
The New World Order; Under Construction A Very Long Time.
But how long?
“Some 60 families—names like Rockefeller, Morgan, Dodge, Mellon, Pratt, Harkness, Whitney, Duke, Harriman, Carnegie, Vanderbilt, DuPont, Guggenheim, Astor, Lehman, Warburg, Taft, Huntington, Baruch and Rosenwald— formed a close network of plutocratic wealth that manipulated, bribed, and bullied its way to control the destiny of the United States.”
“They operated in absolute secrecy, lest the general public understand how the banks’ money manipulated political decisions behind the scenes, including decisions to go to war or to keep the peace.”
F. William Engdahl, Gods of Money
What’s In A Name?
Bundy, Collins, Freeman, Kennedy, Li, Onassis, Reynolds, Rothschild, Russell, Van Duyn.
There are antediluvian bloodlines, names both famous and obscure, which have been crossbreeding, strictly within their own class, for many centuries. They have been passing along a psychopathic genetic aberration and patiently manipulating human events for many centuries with a single purpose in mind; the total subjugation of the rest of humanity.
They are parasites upon the body of the human species.
Some of these families reach back into the depths of antiquity to draw their self-proclaimed supremacy from the ancient rulers of Mesopotamia, the Fertile Crescent, home to the fabled Garden of Eden. The land upon which that bit of legend was built almost certainly now lies submerged beneath the waters of the Persian Gulf.
It seems quite probable that this region, broadly speaking, was the first place on Earth where, from around twelve thousand to as much as 14,500 years ago, the human species began the transition from nomadic gathering and hunting to sedentary agriculture in and around a place called Göbekli Tepe, about 800 miles northwest of Kuwait.
This Neolithic Revolution was perhaps a great misstep on the path of human evolution.
It has been hypothesised from the archeological evidence found at Göbekli Tepe that this area and time may have been the point in the human experiment where people first began to see themselves as separate from and superior to Nature and the rest of the Life on Earth. And I think that was a possibly fatal error.
Klaus Schmidt, now a researcher at the German Archaeological Institute (DAI), has been working the Göbekli Tepe site since 1994.
Anthropologists have assumed that organized religion began as a way of salving the tensions that inevitably arose when hunter-gatherers settled down, became farmers, and developed large societies.
Göbekli Tepe, to Schmidt’s way of thinking, suggests a reversal of that scenario: The construction of a massive temple by a group of foragers is evidence that organized religion could have come before the rise of agriculture and other aspects of civilization. It suggests that the human impulse to gather for sacred rituals arose as humans shifted from seeing themselves as part of the natural world to seeking mastery over it. (source)
” …humans shifted from seeing themselves as part of the natural world to seeking mastery over it.”
The most significant observation and insight of the investigation. A wrong turn on a one-way street. A Big Mistake.
This shift in perception, which was likely engineered or, at the very least, co-opted and nurtured by the earliest ancestors of those families mentioned above, set us on a one-way street of unnatural, self-worshiping materialism, which has led us ultimately to the brink of extinction.
Religion; The First Form Of Totalitarianism?
The complete separation of the priesthood, the chosen of god, from the laity is necessarily intrinsic to the hierarchical structures of organised religions. It effectively isolates the prelacy from the flock and makes easier the task of establishing domain over it. Although not limited exclusively to it, this is especially emphasised in monotheism.
Unlike many Pagan cults, which properly ranked humans amongst all the other Life of Earth, as a part of the fabric of Nature, the predominant monotheistic cults share the common characteristic of defining humanity as the special favourite of the god, superior to all other Life and free to exploit the vital resources of Nature without restraint. How convenient for us, how considerate of our special “god”.
Such hierarchical constructs, requiring complete submission, faith and belief, make a perfect vehicle for those who seek dominion over others. It allows them to create a two-class system wherein the priesthood, the only ones with access to the god, can build power and amass wealth thereby gaining control of all resources vital to survival.
At the same time they are able to tranquillise their subjects with a sense of importance and superiority, emphasizing their favoured status with the god and their right to dominance over Nature and the rest of Life. A utopian paradise is usually promised to the faithful and, as a fail-safe controlling mechanism, eternal punishment, with unimaginable suffering, for those who go astray.
Perhaps herein lies the explanation for the seemingly inexplicable phenomena of productive, otherwise seemingly rational people, submitting to the rule of a non-productive, psychopathic parasite class when it is patently not in their best interest to do so.
This template is transposed quite readily to the structure of modern civilisation. Such transposition, I think, goes a long way toward explaining why scientifically and technologically advanced societies can still cling to preposterous, primitive and barbarically ritualistic belief systems. Not only do the majority still irrationally believe in such mythology, they allow all their social constructs to be based upon the same totalitarian, hierarchic framework.
An example this phenomenon is the economic system of laissez faire capitalism. It is a faith-based religion. It is founded completely on belief rather than reality, fact or science. It requires a flock, firmly in the grip of consumer delirium rapture, with complete faith in a priesthood of free market economists and utterly committed to the worship of Mammon.
The Chicken Or The Egg, The Church Or The Farm?
It has long been widely accepted that the transition to an agrarian social structure, the “Neolithic Revolution”, gave rise to the need for religion as a means to stabilise, unify and sedate the populace during the transition from nomadic Life to a large, fixed society. It now appears the inverse may have been the case.
There are indications in relatively recent archaeological discoveries pointing to the possibility that religion or worship came first. Logically, it would have been contrived; a purposed belief system, consciously fabricated by self-worshiping humans, which created conditions ultimately leading to permanent, fixed settlements.
Sedentary agriculture and the keeping of livestock would then have developed out of necessity, in response to the needs of growing, non-nomadic populations. As the quantity of game, wild grains and other foraged food sources in the immediate area became inadequate, a new means of providing sustenance would have been required.
This then led to villages, towns, cities, nations, empires and, ultimately, the global cancer of unrestrained growth by which we and our Life Support System are being destroyed today.
Growth unrestrained, unconditional and for its own sake, is the agenda of a cancerous tumor, not a sentient species or a civilisation.
Ground Zero?
…the area that today encompasses Israel, the Palestinian territories, Lebanon, Jordan, and western Syria—archaeologists had discovered settlements dating as far back as 13,000 B.C. Known as Natufian villages (the name comes from the first of these sites to be found), they sprang up across the Levant as the Ice Age was drawing to a close, ushering in a time when the region’s climate became relatively warm and wet. (source)
These settlements were not constructed by farmers but by hunter-gatherers.
Yet although the Natufians lived in permanent settlements of up to several hundred people, they were foragers, not farmers, hunting gazelles and gathering wild rye, barley, and wheat. “It was a big sign that our ideas needed to be revised,” says Harvard University archaeologist Ofer Bar-Yosef. (source)
Could Göbekli Tepe and the other Natufian settlements be where anthropocentrism first reared its ugly head? Is this the time and place man created god in his image? Is this when and where the anthropomorphic god was contrived and a hierarchical system of worship designed and put in place, giving certain men the ability to rule with unquestioned power over everyone else?
Did the first parasitic, supremacist psychopaths begin their conquest of humanity from this place and time? Did the tumor that has become the worldwide cancer of Free Market Globalisation first begin to metastasise here?
Perhaps this was the time and place where we first mistook rulers for leaders; rulers who understood that confining a population to a single defined space made them easier to manipulate and control. To be a successful sheep herder one must first acquire a flock of sheep.
Such a stationary population, as its numbers grew, would require governance. This would provide the parasite class, who are incapable of providing for themselves and whose greatest skills are deception, exploitation and manipulation, with a golden opportunity.
Rules for socially acceptable behaviour would have to be defined and enforced. Was this where the seeds of propaganda, indoctrination and the Police State were planted? Religious dogma is the earliest form of mass indoctrination of which I am aware.
A growing population in a fixed location, without the naturally disciplined structure of a small, nomadic, hunter-gatherer family unit, would require a body of laws and rules to keep it under control.
Once there are laws there must be someone to enforce them.
As the population continued to grow, these regulations, controlling and directing social interactions, would also grow in number and complexity. As they became increasingly restrictive and survival of the new society more dependent upon them, the majority could be more easily forced to serve the priestly minority. After all, the priesthood, the chosen ones, get their orders directly from the god. And let’s not forget the enforcers, enjoying a privileged status and a degree of absolute power over the general populace, who work for the priests.
The Proverbial Last Straw.
Wherever it began, where will it end?
America was certainly not by any means the first step taken on the long slippery slope to the edge of the abyss over which we now dangle by our collective fingertips. However, if corrective action is not taken very soon, it may become the last.
The New World Order of the supremacists will become reality. How long will it last? Probably not all that long. But the damage will be irreparable.
Time to start over from the beginning; “got to get back to the land and set my soul free”.
(Woodstock – Written by Joni Mitchell, popularized by Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young)
The Rubicon has been crossed. Things are never going back to normal. What most consider normal is the problem, not the solution.
This cycle of history will run to completion and those who rise from the ashes when it’s over will have to begin anew. Hopefully this time they will retain enough history and group memory of the past to avoid simply repeating the same mistakes yet again.
We have been burned by this fire over and and over throughout human history.
Doing the same thing repeatedly and expecting different results is a good definition of insanity.
“Nothing is written in stone, of course, except the endless repetition of human folly, and thus those who dismiss all cycles as meaningless do so at their peril.”
Charles Hugh Smith
A New World Order Of Peace And Freedom.
The first half of the phrase above has come to represent, to most, something to be feared and avoided; something loathsome and inherently evil. But when combined with the second half, it becomes something altogether different.
A totalitarian one world government, a single world currency and a global ruling class are not prerequisites to achieving a world united in Peace and prosperity. Nor are those things in any way desirable except to the few who would rule.
It is my opinion that the People of Earth, in all their diversity, if not for the few that manipulate and oppress them, would gladly live together in Peace, Tolerance and Cooperation.
The moment the many stop bickering amongst themselves over petty differences and turn their unified attention upon the true enemy of all, the few who have brought this ruin upon Earth and Life; in that moment the tide will turn and an unstoppable tsunami of Joy and Love will cleanse Earth of fear and hate.
In that moment, the human race will finally take a significant step toward true civilisation.

This is an amazingly well-done and important diary, Richard.
It is also, in my opinion, one of the very best to ever appear at FDL.
You have provided a feast for thought and I recommend this profound assessment of humankind’s plight and “predicament” to the conscience and consideration of every single member of this community.
DW
DW, I’m nonplussed by such undeserved praise (he said with false modesty).
Seriously, I am a bit overwhelmed by your generosity. I thank you profusely and sincerely for your kind words.
I was surfing documentary cable channels, something I now do very rarely, when I came upon this. The great antiquity of the site with such monumental construction instantly piqued my interest so I wrote down the name, Gobekli Tepe, and searched for it online.
Needless to say, I became immediately engrossed. And when I came upon the statements regarding that moment in time when the concept of human exceptionalism may have been spawned, I found myself quite literally trembling and emotionally overwhelmed to the point of tears.
Because, for some reason I am unable to explain, I have the unjustifiable conviction that the human race is essentially benevolent by nature and endowed with the potential to be a powerful and lasting force for good, I have struggled all my Life with the attempt to understand, to comprehend what could have brought us to this sad state.
Even as a child I was appalled by my perceptions of so much evil, both subtle and blatantly overt, being accepted as “just human nature”. I have been confounded and numbed by what has seemed to me the incomprehensible, inexplicable and inexcusable inhumanity of the human species.
Now I have another important piece of the puzzle to work with and, perhaps one day before my body and faculties fail completely, I will be able to step back from the table and actually see and understand the picture that is emerging.
Richard, I agree completely with your fourth paragraph.
The search for the means of conveying this truth, for such I hold it to be, is the most important endeavor which any of us, human beings, may ever engage in.
If, that perception may be embraced, then our species may well, not merely “survive”, but thrive …
The issue of “human nature”, which is often “presented” as “mean grasping, and violent”, is not the truth … it is a deception, deliberate and calculated. It purpose is control through belittlement and the inculcation of doubt and despair, in the hearts and sensibilities of the many … always to the benefit of the few, the sociopaths, the manipulators, and the greedy, whose purpose is to reduce everyone else that their timid little fears might be made more “palatable” within their own minds … for those who would do such a thing are not giants among humans, but small, twisted beings who cannot create, who cannot build, and who cannot grow.
Yes, you’ve another critical and crucial piece, and by sharing it, you have offered the rest of us a different kind of peace … the opportunity of discovering our true and compassionate nature, of our relatedness, which is far closer, literally, than most now imagine …
Such insights as you and I seek … are sought by all who understand the value of life, of the opportunity of BEING … of recognizing our small planet as, not simply, our ONLY home in the immensity of this universe … but as paradise itself.
Once humanity may understand that truth then we cannot fail to discover the depth and breadth of our selves, the magnificent potential too long suppressed and denied.
We human beings, ALL of us, now stand at a cusp point; the very survival our species. Either we will choose death and destruction or we will recognize and appreciate the awesome, brilliant capacities which we all possess … for we will realize that genius is not “one” thing but many, that talent and profound insight lies within each and every one of us, and thereby embrace life and living ..
Is it not time to recognize the truth of our essential decency and fully embrace our true nature as beings of wondrous possibility?
If we do not do so, then we shall not long remain, here, … and such time as is left to us will be bitter, brutish, and very short … and we will have wasted the most splendid thing that sentient beings can possibly imagine … which is the opportunity of being … alive.
We have a word, which a very wise and compassionate member of this community, Southern Dragon by name, has made “popular” here … I offer it to you, for it sums up all of what we are sharing, Richard. That word is …
Namaste

Very good post with lots of interesting points. Though I have to gtake objection to this one :
Actually the “savages” – indigenous people like Native Americans – not so technically/”scientifically” advanced people – are the ones who lived in a cooperative (non-hierarchical/non-competitive) way. Actually they practised what is called primitive communism. Everything was public, shared with no concept of private property. They lived in tune with nature and never thought of dominating it. And above all, they didn’t cause climate crisis, unlike the so-called “scientifically and technologically advanced societies”. In other words, “scientifically and technologically advanced societies” and faith-based systems go hand-in-hand more often than not. It is a contradiction – just like our country where we so much obsess about food and have high obesity, eating disorders and the food commonly tastes anywhere between cardboard and chalk piece.
Excellent comment, funkgal, furthering consideration, allowing us all to examine “things” which, all too often, are taken for granted and therefore are not subject to the scrutiny which should be necessary AND ongoing … but which, usually, does not happen, in this, or in most other “advanced” societies.
Richard’s diary, being thought-provoking and sweeping, allows many “jumping-off” points for further and deeper discussion … which, of course, is precisely Richard’s intent.
I hope that many of those who comment here will make use of the opportunity …

What an AWESOME and IMPORTANT diary! Thank you and highly recommended!
Have you read Anthony Giddens? His book, Modernity and Self-Identity: Self and Society in the Late Modern Age, discusses this very thing; he terms it “Sequestration of Experience.” Much of humanity has been brainwashed, and you’re right, what most people think of as normal, is the problem. I also believe this the number one problem and root cause of most of our problems today.
In the last six months, I make a point to challenge people on how and why they believe and live the way they do. I hear from people all of the time, “Well, that’s just the way it is.” I respond and ask why??? Why is it this way? They have no answers. It is difficult to see people walking through life, asleep and unconscious…Some people do not have the physical, psychological or spiritual health to step outside of the box; it has all been systematically stripped away from people.
I’m reading another good book on a similar subject, it is called, The Source Field Investigations: The Hidden Science and Lost Civilizations behind the 2012 Prophecies, by David Wilcock. I don’t believe every word, but it has given me many good leads to follow up on. Other authors on the subject are Carl Jung, William James, Abraham Maslow and even Erik Erikson (consider not making it past stage 1 while reading Erikson).
Peace, Wellness, Justice and Compassion…Thank you again for an Excellent, well written diary.
Thank you funkygal.
Let me take this slowly and choose my words carefully as I have no desire to come off as being argumentative. In fact, I agree with you entirely.
I think what led you to take issue with my statement is simply the inadequacy of my communication skills. In my efforts to express my thoughts, I may not always choose precisely the correct terms. I have a tendency to treat some words that possess very objective definitions in a somewhat subjective manner. I apologise for taking such liberties but it often helps me convey a “feeling”, which is not always easy to do with a printed word.
I don’t think I used the term “savages” in my composition but I can understand how it could be conflated with “primitive” and “barbarically”.
As a matter of fact, I have never considered “indigenous people like Native Americans” as “savages”. Most importantly, in my opinion, such indigenous populations rarely if ever subscribed to any monotheistic, organised religion. It is this form of state sponsored monotheistic “worship”, to my way of thinking, which is “primitive” and “barbaric” beyond anything the so-called savage tribes ever contemplated.
It is the indoctrination, for so many centuries, into the hierarchic, monotheistic cults that I consider to be what “…goes a long way toward explaining why scientifically and technologically advanced societies can still cling to preposterous, primitive and barbarically ritualistic belief systems.”
So, all that being said, I feel confident in concluding that you and I are very much in agreement funkygal.
Thank you kindly for taking time to read, comprehend and offer your thoughts, which I value as part of my endlessly continuing education.
There is no way to Peace. Peace is the way.
Thank you again DW.
I have a “virtual” friend, goes by the tag of “Paraglider”, who uses that salutation quite often. He hails from England as I recall. He works in communications and media technology and has been in the Middle East, working for Al Jazeera for a few years now.
The universal spirit of Life within us all. It’s really so simple, isn’t it? It’s so frustrating that a very small group of totally psychopathic individuals have managed, for so long and at the cost of so much needless suffering and death, to dim the light of that spirit so successfully.
I do feel the time of that darkness may be nearing its end and conversations with individuals such as you only reenforce that feeling. Thank you.
There is no way to Peace. Peace is the way.
Thank you most sincerely 1Freerein.
It feels like I may have found a sanctuary here at FDL.
I really appreciate the references. I will take down the titles and names of the authors and search for PDF versions to add to my PDF library, which is a folder on my external hard drive that now measures over 8GB in size! There is no such thing as too much knowledge.
Your practice of challenging people to open their minds is a valuable, important and perhaps even noble action! And I don’t mean noble in the hereditary sense and I don’t use the word lightly!
Your words and the information you provide are accepted gratefully as a part of my endlessly continuing education.
There is no way to Peace. Peace is the way.

Economist=high priest to the god of greed and money.
I have been saying this for a long time.

It is the Play on US.

You bring up some great points in your diary, in particular how religion is device made to control populations. Another one that needs to be explored is the psychosis of nationalism which is used as another tool for dividing humanity and controlling it. People beliefs in their foundational myths is another huge obstacle in liberating humanity from this cycle of stupidity.
Heh Richard. As I stated above, there is a lot to like in your diary(actually almost all except for this point). And it is a really thought provoking one. Thanks for taking it in the right spirit. I am no saint either when elevating technology/scientific advancement above all others though recently I have been trying to move away from that and think ore critically. Blame it on being exposed to the indigeneous literature :-).
“savages” – I used this term to highlight the arrogance of the “civilized” in general, not to implicate you in any way. Sorry if I gave you that impression.
Pleasantly thought-provoking. Although the power and greed that is endemic to laissez-faire capitalism appeals to baser instincts, it is ignored or promoted in popular religions. Many of us in corporatist countries have been taught that greed and consumerism is good, that the government is democratic, along with other Orwellian fallacies.
Many of the things that we think is true, is wrong. The system is being played (increasingly) for the benefit of the few. Of course it helps to understand this when you are one of the poor or otherwise down-trodden and marginalized. Thanks
This diary is getting too much undeserved praise. A few notes:
The author never defines “totalitarianism”. This is a brutally subjective term unless you’re familiar with the relevant academic work on the phenomenon. As such, it must be defined at the outset in a piece designed for the general public. Anything less is not serious.
I see no mention of Arendt anywhere. Conversations about totalitarianism must deal with Arendt at some point. Again, not serious without it.
Thank you for adding your thoughts to the mix Ironcomments.
I saw the parallels between capitalism, economics and faith based belief systems a long time ago. The metaphor that really isn’t all that metaphorical serves well.
I went to the link you provided and thought to offer a comment but that’s apparently more easily said than done.
Your metaphorical use of an endlessly repeated play is very apt. It accurately describes the cycle of human history, which may be coming to an end sooner than we think.
There is no way to Peace. Peace is the way.
It’s all good funkygal. No apologies necessary.
I agree Scrabbleddie.
Thanks for reading and taking time to share your thoughts.
Thank you for your contribution one_outer.
I shall take your personal preferences under all due consideration before I dare to compose another missive that even mentions totalitarianism.
Mr. Posner
One_outer’s comment has some validity.
Definition of key terms is always an aid to clarity of thought.
I am unfamiliar with Arendt’s work, hence unable to know if it is indeed seminal to the topic.
One reason that definitions are nice to have is that I’m not sure I agree with your (apparent) central thesis; that a small number of families are scheming to sit atop a totalitarian world government. It seems to me that those families aren’t all that concerned with controlling every minute detail of 7 billion people’s lives. They just want their own lives of ease and privilege to remain uncontaminated by the concerns of the rest of us.
They couldn’t care less about our thought-crimes, as long as we keep the roses pruned.
As far as agents of control, religion isn’t nearly as effective as Madison Avenue.
Thank you stratocruiser.
Let’s allow this to be a response to you and an addendum to my reply to one_outer.
All comments have some validity. Especially to those who make them and those who find them agreeable.
Some time ago I composed a brief “disclaimer” as a preface to anything I might put forth when posting either essays or comments. It acknowledges that whatever I might say, at least most of the time, is and can be nothing more than my opinion. It appears I may need to resort to using it as a matter of course.
It is anyone’s right to disagree and it is neither my purpose nor mission to convert anyone who does so to my point of view. In fact, if presented with verifiable, empirical evidence that my conclusions are erroneous, I will integrate that evidence into my future evaluations and adjust my conclusions accordingly.
What I will not do is spend precious time arguing with those who do not share my viewpoint, especially when they dismiss it out of hand whilst looking down their nose from some lofty, self-appointed position of authority.
Contrary to an old adage, talk is not cheap. In terms of the time expended, when one passes beyond a certain point in Life, talking becomes a costly pastime. Particularly when it serves no useful purpose, which, in my opinion, is exactly the case with debating the definitions of terms and concepts that have a strong subjective component.
This sort of argumentation is even more counterproductive when the persons engaged turn out to basically be in general agreement for the most part. After browsing one_outer’s profile and diary entries it became apparent to me that there really isn’t anything much in his viewpoint with which I would take strong issue. Why would I waste his time and mine quibbling over personal opinions and writing styles?
Let me close by adding that the same can be said for you sir. A casual perusal of your profile, activity and diary tells me there is no valid reason to engage in protracted debates over minutia. It would serve no useful purpose. The points upon which we differ are insignificant to the proverbial big picture. We should simply agree to disagree and let it be.
