Special to Firedoglake’s Seminal
I’ve taken the latest version of the Whip It! list that I could find here, and added to it the two representatives who took the pledge yesterday – John Conyers and Yvette Clarke.

Hopefully, this will work. Yay! It worked. I can embed tables in a diary. Now, if I could just post pictures here…
What’s the pledge? As defined here, it is:
We need you to call progressive members of Congress and ask that they Take the Pledge to vote against any health care bill that doesn’t have a public plan which is:
- available nationwide
- on day one
- and accountable to Congress and the voters
If you have any corrections, additions, etc., please note them in the comments. I’ll try to post a corrected version each day.

thanks Cujo!
Weiner sure appears to be ripe for picking
I got asked the are you a constituent question when I called to inquire about the Pledge this am – praying a NY-08 firedog or one of the HCR Team members can ask him – specifically about a bill out of Conference
Might be, but how does he feel about triggers? That’s the crucial bit at this point. BTW, if anyone has a link to what exactly it is that our Representatives are signing up to when they take the pledge, please post it in the comments and I’ll add it. Finding information at FDL that’s more than a day or two old is a nightmare, thanks to the number of articles and comments.
our Ms Elliot shows you How To Post Pics here
The problem is that I’d have to open yet another account on Flickr to do this. I’ve asked several times for them to add Blogspot/Picasa as a source of embedded pictures, and have not even received a “sorry, we can’t do that because…” response. So I’ve given up.
What Is The Pledge ?
which would now include – No on any bill out of Conference without robust PO and No Triggers !
Thanks. Actually, I think triggers are implicitly forbidden by the “available on day one” clause. Triggers would inevitably delay implementation, probably forever.
Cool. Got it in before the editing cutoff.
Thanks cujo!
Sander Levin appears both in the PP Weasel Words and the Open to Anything columns. ??
Good catch. Based on what I saw in the video, I think he belongs in the “PP Weasel Words” column. Anyone disagree?
