22 years ago tonight i was sitting in a St. Louis hotel bar with members of the band i was on tour with – Steve Miller – and Don Henley’s. they’d performed that night, we were performing the next. we raised a toast to the b’day boy, who then went around the room bestowing a b’day kiss on each woman as his b’day gift.
