Hey dak ,thanks for remembering Bloomers .He was a guitar giant whose knowledge of the blues was second to no one,as evidenced in discourse and every passage he ever played .
Being the whackaloon Bloomfield fan I’ve been since I first heard him and BBB when I was 13 I won’t delve too deep into all the great Mike Youtubes out there . . .
DK, NICE Electric Flag pick tho . . . Buddy Miles, Al Kooper on keys, Nick Gravenites on lead vocals, n yep, that’s Super Session bassman Harvey Brooks thumping it. 3 of the Super Session heroes, Electric Flag. LeSigh, it was just yesterday, in a friends garage, Flag turned up loud, skippin school and lit up.
Mike, I miss yer pickin, thanks for it all.
Here’s Perhaps One Of THE Most Perfectly Arranged And Delivered Songs, Ever.
One can tell Bloomfield from Bishop in one note, glorious music, great players, and NO ONE ever squeezed more out of a git, tone and feel than Bloomfield.
LeSigh. I highly rcc’d Bloomfield to all and any.
And this post, too, is rcc’d, of course. ;-)
