I get it. Hahaha. I finally get it: Da Kine! Now I get it!
Spent four years in the islands as one Haole GI. Loved the idea of da kine as the all purpose description for everything.
The Adderleys are my homeboys from Ybor City, Tampa’s artist district.
Dakine-
I had a crazy wonderful girlfriend I grew up with and we shared our 40′s and 50′s together. Gone now.
But, when we talked to each other about meeting a new friend, she would always say She’s The Kind.
Miss her dearly, and assume I know what your sayin’.
