Love the Bromberg piece.
I wonder if anybody realized at the time that Ed would host some of the most iconic performances in the history of rock music.
Yeah, I try to find songs that are not maybe as well known and that one from Bromberg fit the bill as did the one for the Mamas and Papas. In fact the Mamas and Papas song is my favorite of theirs – at least once I had enough awareness to recognize who they were singing about
I once had a guitar teacher use the Dylan tune for a lesson on “drop D” tuning, many years ago. Bromberg is a masterful guitar player and this was an interesting treatment.
That really brings back the buzz! David Bromberg opened for Coco Taylor at Skipper’s Smokehouse down in Florida, outside under the stars, with sugar sand for a floor. Really the Blues. 30 years ago or so.
You shoulda included Bullfrog Blues…
Well, I try to find one YouTube for each of the b’day folks and some folks have a wealth of choices to select from
And Bromberg is certainly one of those.
