Apparently, Channel 4 in Detroit showed the following disclaimer scroll during the Super Bowl while Matt Millen was speaking:
"Matt Millen was president of the Lions for the worst eight-year run in the history of the NFL. Knowing his history with the team, is there a credibility issue as he now serves as an analyst for NBC Sports?"
Let’s say they invite Karl Rove to do analysis for NBC’s election coverage. Do you think that they would ever scroll this on the bottom:
"Karl Rove was an advisor to George W. Bush, president of the United States for the worst eight-year run in its history. Knowing his history, is there a credibility issue as he now serves as an analyst for NBC?"
Somehow I don’t think that’s ever going to happen.

I aim a little higher. I would hope Rove goes to jail and doesn’t ever get to bloviate on the tube again.
You’d be surprised at how many people in the Detroit area feel much the same way about Matt Millen.
(Merely observing here, being indifferent to the Lions and their fate. But somebody had to say it.)
Actually, I’d have to say that Millen was much worse at his job in Detroit than Rove was at his in DC. Rove got his guy elected. Millen’s teams never got past the first round of the playoffs, and generally weren’t even close to playoff contention at all.
My son lived in Detroit until last Spring (2008) when he moved closer to his family (me!).
When he saw Matt Millen as an analyst on the Super Bowl, he was absolutely beside himself and expressed much the same opinion as the blogger above. He lost respect for NBC Sports for having even asked Matt to the booth.
