Oh, hi yaz, on a Friday Night or Saturday morning, my firepupsfriends, cutiepies, sneakypies, even a few crankypies, (you tooz).
I just felt like it was kind of a challenging week, for me anyway, and this song has been flying around in my mind. So, I thought I’d do a little post. In case anyone else could benefit from hearing ol’ Leonard.
My first contact with this song was when I was 17 or so and heard Judy Collins sing it. This is a nice version of that, by the writer, the incredible Mr. Cohen with video that evokes many different powerful and heartfelt emotions.
Why am I doing this diary, I ask myself? Just was moved to do so. Who am I to figure out why? I figure it’s probably okay.
Maybe this will brighten your time. I’m hoping so.
I love the line, We weren’t Lovers like that and besides it would still be alright.
There’s a deep understanding of love and place of non-judgementalism about Owning in that line, I think.
Love you Gals, Guys, Pups, Kittens, Lurkers, Cynics Staff and Contributers of FDL, and All Y’all.
Just, Demi.

Hi, Honeys.
I know we’re going to have some down time tonight, 9pm – 12pm, I think is what I read, for maintenance. Thank you, Brian, for that.
But, you know, if anyone wants to comment on their week, or life, or the song, I’ll be here, maybe, in and out, as it were.
Oh, So Sorry, the link didn’t go into the post.
It’s here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oBFQg7P5YKw
Hey, demi. I’ve always loved that song.
Now, it makes me think of Nuns On A Bus,…only different. :)
Thanks for sharing demi.
Morning (( demi )),
I’m seeing a new weekend feature diary following SD’s popular weekend offering titled “CatharticDay.” (grasping for a bit of cheerful humor there, big sister)
Hey, O&S
You are welcome.
Did you and yours finally get settled down and cleaned up after your Big Bash?
You and Kris get first prize, I’m pretty sure, for best menu and cutest b-day girl.
Ha! My two favorite cathartic activities are pulling weeds and painting walls.
I guess I should add my new routine of walking in the park.
But, you’re right, certain music is also very cathartic.
How’s tricks with you?
Demi, usually you can just place a video’s url (web address) right into the post on the visual tab of the compose box. The one hitch can be *if the embed code (under the video) has been disabled, it doesn’t work to paste it in.
When that happens, I used some (I think) html code with the Long Code link under the video, and in the case of this video, it ends up looking like this. It has to be pasted into the html side where you want it, of course. You can always tinker with the size; the original was 460, if I remember correctly.

Thanks, Wendy.
I’ve added urls before and I’m not sure why it didn’t work.
Actually the first time I tried to add it in my comment it didn’t work either, but the second time it did.
Who knows. But, I hope you enjoyed the song. I just love the sentiment of wanting someone else to have the comfort that comes with Mercy.
great song!
