The death of Hugo Chavez has done little to soften the scorn lavished on him by the main stream media here in the United States- a few examples of editorial bias in recent days include the headline Death of a Demagogue” on Time’s home page March 6. As FAIR (Fairness & Accuracy In Reporting) notes: “If world leaders were judged by the sheer volume of corporate media vitriol and misinformation about their policies, Chávez would be in a class of his own.”
On March 5 CNN host Anderson Cooper declared it was “the death of a world leader who made America see red, and NBC Nightly news Brian Williams said “The words ‘Venezuelan strongman’ so often preceded his name, and for good reason,” while on ABC World News (3/5/13), viewers were told that “many Americans viewed him as a dictator.”

Who are these leftist critics of Chavez? Sounds like a false flag operation. Names, please? What does it mean to be left? I’m left handed, since birth, so I know too well what it’s like to live in a right dominated country. Hand and iron glove, so to speak. Good interview. And, I would like to meet with these lefties who think education and healthcare are not universal rights. Sounds like they’re full of guano.
Well said!
Hugo Chavez has been quite obviously attacked over and over by the full spectrum of the Mainstream Media, and that includes not only the left or non-right-wing programs like MSNBC, CSPAN, CNN, Today, The View, Bill Maher, etc., but also attacked as well by so-called “left” or progressive Web Sites like “The Daily Kos“.
All of these sources have just repeated, at various times, the lies and the false government propaganda that Hugo Chavez is a “Dictactor”, a threat” to the U.S., a “terrorist”, etc., and they equate him to al Qaeda, Bin Laden, Saddam Hussein, etc.
Furthermore, Cindy Sheehan herself was also mocked and pilloried on “The Daily Kos” (once again a so-called leftist Web Site), and banned from even posting there — for having been critical of The Democratic Party’s track record on starting Wars, and being supportive of Hugo Chavez.
Where do you get the idea that Hugo Chavez was ever treated fairly by the Media? You should watch Oliver Stone’s movie “South of The Border” and you would then learn that this was a great leader, and a great man for his people.
The only people who ever stood-up and defended Chavez anywhere in the Media were Oliver Stone, Cindy Sheehan, and Sean Penn. Meanwhile, a few U.S. Politicians were publicly talking about wanting to assassinate him.
Want an attack from Communists(Trotskyite variety)? Here it is.

First time I ever saw Chavez called “bourgeois.”
