When I occasionally watch Glenn Beck’s show I see him either calling Obama a socialist, a marxist, or whatever goes into his mind. At times he makes no sense and it’s really hard to know what he’s up to or what he really stands for. Glenn does talk a good game about the Constitution even though he really doesn’t get what’s actually in the constitution. However, there is one thing that people seem to always miss about Beck and this should be obvious to everyone. The fact is, Glenn pretends to defend the constitution but then contradicts himself minutes later. The point is, Glenn Beck is a fraud who needs to be exposed as such.

First, Beck claims to be a protector of the constitution and wraps himself around the flag claiming to be a real American. However, his actions say otherwise once he’s on television. For example, in 2007, Glenn made an implicit claim that many of us Ron Paul’s supporters were terrorists and even made an implicit threat that the military should be used on us. He also attacked Ron Paul as being a "crazy kooky guy" even though Beck agrees with most of his positions not relating to the Military Industrial Complex. He also ignored the fact that Ron Paul was the only congressman who votes based on the constitution. He talks a good game about the tyranny of the Federal Reserve, but marginalizes and ignores us who want to see real fundamental change when it comes to the Central Bank. Another example was in 2007 when he compared 9/11 truthers to Al Qaeda and tried to suggest that Al Qaeda might recruit them when he interviewed James Meigs from Popular Mechanics. In 2009 during the time the Holocaust Museum shooting was occurring, Beck then blamed the same group and tried to lump in 9/11 truth with James Von Brunn even though they concluded that Von Brunn never made contact with any of the groups nationwide. This point is relevant because Beck made the argument before the shooting that we should be asking questions about 9/11 and question our government no matter what. Now, he criticizes the very people who legitimately question government and smears their character. He has also been known to contradict himself on many issues that relates to the constitution. For example, Beck claimed that he was against the Patriot Act, but he actually supported it when it was signed into law. He also supported the bailout in 2008 before he changed his mind in 2009. He claims to be against the income tax even though he supports a VAT tax himself. There are countless examples of him contradicting himself but it would take me forever to list these examples.

There are other things that Beck has done that drew ire from us libertarians who started the real Tea Party movement and for good reason. Last year, he started his 9/12 movement claiming that he wanted to restore the values of America on the day of 9/12/2001. However, what he really did was allow the neocons to control the tea party movement and eliminate all us libertarians and constitutionalists from it. Glenn only accelerated the movement by only concentrating on Democrats and not Republicans and based on my experience with the 9/12 groups here in El Paso and Las Cruces, they hate Ron Paul supporters and they don’t like it when we arrive at their events. As a matter of fact, they made it clear to me and my friends that they want nothing to do with Paul and his ideas at all. This fraudulent movement was and is being used by Beck to amass his wealth and profile.

There are so many things wrong with Beck, but the one thing that he has done really pisses me off: he has marginalized libertarians, constitutionalists and Ron Paul supporters and has elevated neocons like Palin to celebrity status. Beck is not interested in liberty, only in his own wealth and his personal fortune. And for the last time, Beck is no Libertarian, he is a neocon through and through. And just like any fraud, it’s time to expose him for what he is.
