Smart and easy on the eyes — what more could one want?
Wow, Redford synthesizes so much (so calmly).
But the conservatives that I know who love to fish and hunt are completely in agreement with Redford.
The Beltway pundits who wanker on about ‘how to rebuild the GOP’ sure haven’t seen the kind of disgust among hunters and fisherman that I’ve seen — apart from tax policies, its GOP heedlessness on the streams and wild places that are making the GOP’s cynicism and greed too much for these folks to stomach.
They might even overlook Wall Street criminals, but when you screw up their fish runs, you’ve really antagonized those voters. Just look at how many ‘red’ Western states voted for Obama this year.
Robert Redford on Rachel Maddow is more publicity than any one of us could muster on our own. The story about how Bush plans to execute this backdoor lease of oil and gas rights of Utah wilderness was clear too. What was not clear is how like-minded citizens could take action to stop it. Telling my congressmen I am opposed is about as useful as my congressmen telling Bush he is opposed. The segment was missing an action plan, I think. I am right?
I KNOW you were talking about Rachel, right? DREAMALICIOUS.
Why can’t we have public officials who get it like Redford does?
