Thanks for posting this, Egregious! I’ve been under the weather and that 0600 showtime was just too early for the old bones this AM. Any other day & they would be replaying the Journal over and over, too. To add insult to injury, from the time stamp I see that I barely missed her, obviously I started watching just after that segment. If I would have skipped walking the dog (Not a good idea) I’d have seen it…
Can’t wait to see this when I get home, eg! Thanks.
Jane is just so great at this! What an eloquent spokesperson for all of us the Left she is.
Yep. She’s gorgeous and personable and smart as heck. Yay Jane!
Absolutely inappropriate comment.
I second that comment.
LOL! The comment is gone! Now it looks like you and SD are saying that mentioning that Jane is gorgeous and smart is inappropriate. Oh Dear.
For those who missed it there was a comment in violation of the rules that’s been removed by our awesome mods.
Any chance the transcript will be posted somewhere? The videos are refusing to load for me. Thanks.
Good job, Jane.
I’m quite sure that I personally would not have held such composure nor had that ability to be so diplomatic and professional in the face of some of those questions.
And THANK YOU, egregious, for posting these.
Applause for both of you.
Especially to the lady who gave her long personal introduction by claiming that she had voted both Republican and Democratic over time, and so she declared her self to be politically, “right down the middle of the road”. Then she went on to repeat some of the oldest and most debunked and tired Right-wing talking points on record, and nothing else.
Jane is always gracious, even her facial expressions are under complete control and never betray her. Quite a feat when dealing with people like the caller you mention. I could never maintain my composure like that, my face would certainly give my true thoughts away! Probably why I’m here and Ms. Jane is on Washington Journal…
Jane:
You were asked, ‘how you got that gig’ of what turned out to be a major motion picture. You answered, ‘USC Masters in Motion Picture Production, then just stated working as a producer’–Jane Hamsher
You make it sound so simple. But really, how many people who earn a masters in movie producing go on to produce blockbuster hits, or anything at all or at least anything significant or successful? While I appreciate your honesty and how humble you are, I suspect that were more than exceptional in that category as you are in others that I’ve seen you explore and involve yourself with.
Oh dear my comment is missing! Surely it wasn’t the “inappropriate” one that was removed?
It was very much like nonplussed’s comment at 12-talked about that very same caller who claimed middle-of-the-roadness but then rattled off the R talking points.
My computer is and has been behaving oddly – I suspect a virus, but it seems to have disabled my virus protection.
Still, the comment was visible this afternoon. Weird.
the mod squad has checked the filters and there is nothing of yours that has been moderated. was your comment on this thread?
tejanarusa, was this the comment you were looking for?
I hope that commenter gets an automatic reject in future when s/he tries to log in. That was way over the line, even for a thoughtless troll.
I would guess that, yes, that’s the comment Tejanarusa was looking for. That fits the description he/she gave of the comment. That was nice of you, Suzanne, to look in to it. I felt bad for Tejanarusa’s when S/he thought S/h might have posted a comment that had been marked as inappropriate. I hope Tejanarusa returns to the thread to see what you’ve posted about it.
