In his radio address this morning Pres. Bush once again called for passage of the Columbia Free Trade Agreement. After the shooting and gassing of indigenous people of Columbia, in which 13 people were killed and 132 wounded on Oct 12, Organizers are once again preparing to demonstrate. This time the original group of 10,000 protesters will be joined by an additional 20,000 sugar cane cutters who have been on strike for a month. This time they will have the backing of observers from the International Federation of Human Rights, Human Rights Watch as well as the U.N. High Commission on Human Rights.http://www.indiancountrytoday.com/home/content/33635064.html

Free trade is not free. It is nothing but a way for corps to take the resources of a country at a low cost; with the result being that people get lower wages and fewer jobs.
And if you ever figure out how to get links to work the first time every time..please let me know how! I would be so happy if I never saw ‘page not found’ ever again.
Your wish is my Google command.

You have to use some coding in the body of the diary, or the link won’t be “live.” In the comments, it’s different, for some reason, and you can just slap the link up there like i just did.
Thanks for the information; I might try a diary someday.
First I have to master the basics..I am embarrassed to admit that it is in the comments that I fail to make the links work every time. I check and I check and I still get ‘page not found’…groan!
Why is Bush pushing this Columbia is killing folks again free trade with a country that has death squads is not a reliable investment.
and let’s not forget mccain rushing to columbia at the opportune photo-op time this past year…
People, nobody’s going to take us seriously until we learn to spell and stuff, It’s Colombia. Look it up.
