Melanie Sloan was on the usually excellent Rachel Maddow Show (from News1News). Nothing new was added to the debate except Melanie is now filing a complaint against Sen. David Vitter for "Professional Misconduct".

Recall CREW wanted to imprison Eliot Spitzer for 20 years for transporting women across state lines for immoral purposes. Originally, CREW wanted Diaper Dave to be investigated for similar offenses.  But Melanie repeated her false charges against eight Democrats and also attacked ACORN. The attacks by Rachel and Melanie against ACORN were not fair or accurate.

Rachel was uncharacteristically inaccurate, when she went on the ACORN bashing bandwagon. "There is a lot ACORN has done that doesn’t deserve defending." That is ridiculous. Melanie was also bashing ACORN "Its conduct here was indefensible." But I will defend ACORN. The right wing TV cable network, Fox News carried out a "sting" against ACORN. But all they nabbed was one employee who was giving fraudulent advice to the Fox crew. This is disgusting, but not illegal behavior, and is not evidence that ACORN should be condemned. But it is evidence that Fox News should be condemned.

Melanie again claims CREW is fair, because they have listed eight corrupt D’s and only seven corrupt R’s. But Rep. Mike Ross was not on the list. But CREW is now filing a complaint against him after he sold his Pharmacy for a sweet profit. Vitter also was not listed as a corrupt R. On Rachel’s show, she repeated her charges against these D’s without presenting evidence. As I have frequently said, Melanie must PROVE the eight ant-war Democrats, five African Americans, are corrupt. All eight are also supporters of national health care. Combined with the attacks on ACORN, this suggests racism at CREW. CREW claims to be a "government watchdog". But my cat could find eight genuine corrupt, pro Iraq War, and anti-national health care Democrats.

Melanie Sloan’s husband works for SAIC. SAIC has been secretly promoting the Iraq War since before it started. Presumably their false propaganda is paid for by us taxpayers. Are the attacks by CREW part of their propaganda?

SAIC personnel were instrumental in pressing the case that weapons of mass destruction existed in Iraq under Saddam Hussein, and that war was the only way to get rid of them. When no weapons of mass destruction were found, SAIC personnel staffed the commission setup to investigate how American intelligence could have been so disastrously wrong, including Gordon Oehler, the commission’s deputy director for review a 25-year CIA veteran, Jeffrey R. Cooper, vice president and chief science officer for one of SAIC’s sub-units and Samuel Visner, a SAIC vice president for corporate development who had also passed through the revolving door and back to the NSA.

David Kay, who later chaired the Iraq Survey Group (which showed that Hussein didn’t possess WMD, thereby proving that the war was launched under false pretenses), is also an SAIC shareholder and former director of SAIC’s Center for Counterterrorism Technology and Analysis.

In 1998, Kay testified before a Senate committee that Saddam Hussein"remains in power with weapons of mass destruction" and that "military action is needed." Another SAIC stockholder and board member Wayne Downing, was used as a military analyst in the build-up to the war in Iraq. SAIC also hired Iraqi exiles including Khidhir Hamza, a member of the Iraqi Reconstruction and Development Council, once perceived as a conduit for Iraqi exiles living in the U.S. who would be called upon to serve in the newly established government. (Operating under a $33 million contract, SAIC organized the Iraqi exiles and reported to Douglas Feith, then undersecretary of defense for policy and a key assistant to Donald Rumsfeld Feith’s deputy, Christopher "Ryan" Henry is a former SAIC senior vice president, according to Bartlett andSteele.

Another SAIC "subject-matter expert" was Shaha Riza, whose relationship to Paul Wolfowitz was one of the reasons for his downfall as President of the World Bank.

I have nothing personal against Melanie Sloan or CREW. In fact I wish CREW would go after real corruption. The US Pharmaceutical company Merck,is keeping lists of doctors and researchers. Merck intended to take revenge against these people who questioned Merck’s medication, Vioxx. Merck and three other companies make vaccines. Hundreds of Nigerian children have become infected with polio due to tainted polio vaccines. It is obscene that this vaccination program is continuing in Nigeria and other countries.

The H1N1 Swine Flu vaccine contains thimerosal. Thimerosal contains mercury and has been linked to childhood autism. This vaccine is being given to children and pregnant women. It seems there is no mercury free vaccine. These are only a few examples of the massive corruption of the Pharmaceutical industry. CREW, we could use a little help fighting these corporate criminals, who are assisted by the Food and Drug Administration.

CREW’s main efforts to fight corruption consist of examining financial reports of Congress critters. CREW’s own IRS Form 990, with CREW’s money donors is not public. Melanie also profits from SAIC, probably receiving health care insurance, from SAIC. These conflicts of interest invalidate her attacks. Let the sunshine in Melanie,and release this information. "The hypocrisy is astonishing" as Melanie says. Melanie is a Dee Cee villager or we could call them the Dee Cee Nomenklatura.
