For the second morning in a row, CNN has shown footage of Obama in swimming trunks and babbled on about the "bare-chested Obama", how good and fit he looks, etc., ad nauseum.
What’s going on here? I’m not sure, except that I am sure I don’t like it. I don’t like it any more than I liked the unique camera angle for the Vice-Presidential debate which could have had no other purpose than showing Sarah Palin’s calves and heels.
Is the American imaged media so debased that they must now spend time focused on the physical attributes of candidates for, and those elected to, our highest offices? How much farther will they go?
Bah! Would that they’d spend more time on their character…

Money talks and Gossip sells? Nope all the news has gone Gossipy with a few exceptions and reader/viewership keeps falling.
Maybe the purpose is to dumb down America? Or its a plot to put the independent media such as it is out of business?
To dumb down America of course. The MSM started lying to the people with Operation Mockingbird in 1949…long before the age of the internet and new media. They know that new media is gaining on them. Online Media is now eligible for a Pulitzer prize. I think that the rules need a bit of fine tuning, but MSM has competition now, officially.
