The oldest is reading Jared Diamond’s “Guns, Germs and Steel,” recently finished a couple of Michael Crichton books (”Prey” was one of them).
The youngest is flipping between Lemony Snicket’s “A Series of Unfortunate Events” and “Inkdeath”.
Don’t know if I’d call any of them propaganda. The Lemony Snicket series has pre-conditioned both of them they can’t trust many adults and to expect hardships — sounds more like naked truth cloaked in a moral fable.
One son used to love Encyclopedia Brown and another one…can’t remember, a kid detective.
Other son is reading some of the books his bro got him, Pride and Prejudice is one.
