FYI, OR. Here’s the video of Senator Wyden in a post-election mid-November townhall meeting in Grants Pass saying he opposes efforts to put aside much of the high Siskiyous, stretching from the Oregon Caves to Mount Ashland and well into Northern California, as a monument (Grants Pass Daily Courier, Nov. 15, 2010, link: http://web.thedailycourier.com/video/vidpage.html?v=111510Wyden ). Apparently, some folks are concerned about the effects of such a preservation effort on mining and private property.
