A National Holiday for Millionaires?
Several days ago and during a debate at the Arizona state legislature, a Member jokingly suggested that a Holiday for White People should be established. And after being questioned by a television reporter, the Member turned serious and suggested that with white people becoming a “minority.” a holiday would be much deserving and in recognition for all that has been accomplished.
Of course, I differ. I much prefer a National Holiday for Millionaires. As such, Monday would be called the Koch Brothers, Tuesday…Peterson, Wednesday…Adelman, Thursday…Issa, Friday…, well, you get the point! Oops, was that an empty can of the “cold one” that just whizzed by my head.
Obviously, it’s been a long day, these European hours.

Can’t wait for the day when anglos are in a minority in this country myself.
But yeppers; how about all the cry-baby anglos who suggest enacting ‘affirmative action’ programs for themselves? Some real ‘har-har’ moments those are, no?
How does a person get elected when he doesn’t remember all the white people holidays we already have? I’m white and I seem to recall quite a few holidays that many feel only belong to us.

I’m not a fan of the existing federal holiday. Thus, my low-level “passion” that exists for all the federal holidays will not be ramped-up in the near future.
Perhaps, I’m too much of a radical and perhaps, much to my personal detriment. However, given my druthers, I would, if possible, create a One-Week Federal Holiday. The first day of this Week Holiday would commence three days prior to Election Day, and continue three days after Election Day. As such, each person would have 7 days in which to register and vote. Therefore, I would anticipate that well over 90% of the population would take a small amount of time and actually go out and vote. If so, our political climate would invariably change and where we, the “contituency” would see our Elected and Appointed Official, would have a “serious” change of heart in their political behavior relative to Ideology, Issues and the Donor Base.
I apologize for my long-windedness, but that’s me.
