Come & Join the Great Matriarch Express!
As such, there are no dues or fees, and your fee-fees won’t get irritated, as well as to no membership requirements of any sort, other than taking the time to understand and respond appropriately, and for understanding American history—a consequential subset or tangent of my Indigenous history, and notwithstanding, all the propaganda that requires be jettisoned from our daily thinking. And if you have the capacity and capability to do so, you will be readily welcomed onto this Great Matriarch Express of ours here in the Sonoran Desert and where the military vets provide the “security” for your continuing enjoyment of Freedom, even from America’s “wrecking crew.”
Obviously, I have way too much time on my hands, but my attention has a long time span when it comes to assessing our American history. Take, for example, from within the prism that is the Great Society, the “liberal” is required to defend the littlest person among us, and it’s for this reason that I call myself a ‘liberal.’ In contrast, and relative to context and content for the assorted Diversions, the Republicans have managed to demonize the label of “liberal” and yet, the label of “caterpillar” has become the oxymoron among the politically marooned, as in the ‘marooned’ Republicans and soon to be further marginalized given the obvious demographic trends we are encountering and addressing on a daily basis.
Consequently, the Republicans are into their denial mode for practicing their “War on Women” albeit, their “war’ such as it is, is a “war” on defending religious freedom, or so their propaganda goes. To wit, from here in the Sonoran Desert, this always brings about the quiet chuckle when it comes to propagating propaganda. And as residents of the Indigenous, we can “smell” propaganda from miles away, since, for Republicans, the air currents generically-speaking, runs a confluence of East to West.
Needless to say, my air current runs accordingly, and in keeping with the migratory flow of people and in particular, persons capable of espousing their “unmet needs” and which brings me to the notional for, not the War on Women, but onto the historical or indigenous platform that is the “War on Our Moms.” Therefore, understanding the “War on Our Moms” goes back into history for at least 50,000 years, and given today’s toxic environment in politics, not much progress has been achieved, since the latest iteration from the European ‘robes’ only changed the colors and not the behaviors. Perhaps, when women become the priests in the Catholic Church, this Theocracy of Belief, will change for the better?

And in starting to understand that the Great European Migration of the past 500 years, has brought about considerable change via ideas and technologies, the “war” continues apace, and its to this war that will cease to exist, other than for repatriating the wealth generated and made available for all persons in this Indigenous Hemisphere, and done in order to achieve a Dream in which our Moms are not the victims of further disenfranchisement.
To wit, the Great Matriarch Express is now available to one and all.
Therefore, developing a political and economic agenda that moves “government intervention” into the daily realm and where the exclusive beneficiaries are our “moms” seems prescient and prudent, otherwise, this “agenda” will be long in coming; short in effort; lacking in results; and where politics is no longer “fun.”
So, climb aboard and have some well-deserved Fun!

Nicely penned, and oh so true as to the history, women’s place in it all, etc.
Highly rcc’d.
I read a book once, called “The Goddess and The Alphabet” – it was a postulation that basically said that as the rise of the use of an alphabet, as opposed to hieroglyphics, arose in dominance, so too did the “war on moms” … although the author didn’t use your words. I have no idea what his “academic” credentials were or his standing for that matter. I can’t even remember the author’s name. But I liked his idea because it was just so damn out of the box and original. ie: “we will have no craven images before us”. Prior to the alphabetic writings all writings were of “images” – images evoke emotions and are classically associated with the subconscious (dreams and visions) and dreams and visions are of the feminine. Hence the tie in with “our moms”. Goes back a long, long way.
That being said, I am on this express …. where we headed, anyway?? ( g )
Hmm, interesting thot about alpha betic and graphics language.
So, cuniform was the death of the mother worship?
My feeble knowledge of history suggests that women’s place in the world as leaders, shaman, healers, oracles and such ended long before cuniform writing.
But I’m not a scholar in these issues, Dr. Dick sure as hell is, tho, I’d like to hear him wade in on this.
When was it that women lost their leadership roles in the village?
Larue,
Thanks for the compliment.

walkingboots,
Like Larue, there has always been an “interpretration” on the role of the “our Moms” and it’s for this reason, that I like using the descriptive, since it “personalizes” my reality. Needless to say, “our Moms” perpetuates our Culture, Music and Language, and the attendant behaviors.
The other day, I was in a conversation regarding oral histories, and the only thing I could add, was my disappointment that recording devices were not available in the onslaught of years known as BC and before AD.

Have you ever read The First Sex by Elizabeth Gould Davis. You would find it interesting.
From what I have so far read writing things down was viewed as an abomination long ago. It was a way to subvert and manipulate what was being orally passed generation to generation. To the truth of these “facts” I cannot speak but it makes sense.
Always honored to do so sir . . . this was a good one, very, very good one . . . the whole theme of women as leaders, healers, shaman, tribal leaders/figures, nurturing, etc. is one oft neglected but then we KNOW why this is, the men are writing the past, over and over . . . ;-)
Agreed, the stories those recordings might tell would be incredible.
That’s incredibly interesting . . . wonder if there’s a matching curve between women’s ascension to power thousands of years ago and the development of writing that led to a descent of women’s power due to the perception of writing being harmful to the oral tradition.
This is interesting, sure wish we could get an anthropologist or two in here on this . . . thanks for that comment.
You are most welcome. I hope to find out more. Again I cannot verify with source but I have heard that very thing mentioned, there was a correlation.
Would it not be nice to sit at the feet of unbiased wisdom about these things and just take it in. Our minds are such a gift.
