“the report specifically rejected that lowering tax rates would encourage economic growth” (report by Tax Policy Center) http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/10/01/paul-ryan-tax-plan_n_1929142.html
“the president didn’t want to go along with actually beginning to address the real deficit issue, which are health care entitlements.” (quote of Eric Cantor, 2012 campaign) http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/10/01/eric-cantor-debate_n_1930981.html?utm_hp_ref=mostpopular
Ryan and Cantor. Their real policy is to starve the poor or else to kill them by not giving them health care. The reasoning is that they themselves have enough so others must be expendable. We consider that the basic job of people, in our kind of society, is to get their hands on money. Their reasoning: “I do have the basic qualification, which is getting money, so there is no need to be concerned with those lazy, shiftless people, or the ones who are not qualified to be like myself. If those people do not have the money to pay for health insurance, food, or housing they are not on my level as human beings and are better off eliminated and killed.” As Mitt explained in his Florida speech, at the fund raiser sponsored by a hedge-fund financier, and that was secretly captured on video, other people are lazy. They are shiftless. Add your own descriptive term— for whatever they are and you aren’t. As for me, I do not have a job; I have problems. If Ryan and Romney got into office, they would be happy to kill me—they know this, themselves. It isn’t that Ryan, or Cantor, want to lower federal income (income from taxes) because it will stimulate the economy; as the study showed, it won’t actually boost the economy at all. And such a policy is not consonant with what conservatives traditionally do. The only thing that lowering taxes will do is to further marginalize lazy, shiftless individuals. Or kill some of them, of course. I myself know I am a good candidate for death under a Romney/Ryan administration. Romney knows this. He is aware that he wants to kill me.
I am not even criticizing it from a moral point of view. Maybe they are right and I “should” throw my lot in with the rich people and deal with my Asperger’s Syndrome and learn how to talk nicely at cocktail parties, which is not what I am doing. Maybe I should eat meat— and join the hunt club, or fight club or whatever it is— maybe I should stop writing bizarre literature and posting it on facebook. Maybe I should just stop being “different” altogether— what good is it doing me anyway? But, even if all of that were true, it would not even matter because the Republicans are just plain dumb. They lack any ideas or programs. They do not have ideas. They are just plain untenable. Once they put themselves into office they will run this country (in fact the planet, if you want to get right down to it) right into the ground. No outcome that has these guys in the driver’s seat is going to work.
They will destroy themselves. Don’t kid yourself. It won’t work. It is just a mass Republican suicide mission. As a result of their policies they will try to live on cotton candy and thin air in a fairy tale castle and it won’t work (even they have old Beatles records or “Rage Against the Machine” to play on solar-powered boom boxes). It won’t work anyway. There is no life like that; there is no world like that where arrogant people live on laughing gas. They are poor, too. Not in money but in their basic worth, or quality, as people. So, they are very, very poor. And they don’t have the ability to run or rule or to rule the world, but “everybody wants to rule the world,” which is another song they might recall. They are the poorest of the poor; the poorest ones of us. But, also like everyone else— yet they are proud— very proud of themselves and very full of the will to live, to perform. Others, they think, must be inferior to them. They think they are real high quality persons, who will do things correctly. They think that if only they were in charge, they could lead the world. And then everyone would like them or something. And then the world would be a happier place.
But that’s what everybody thinks. Isn’t it? I think if I was in charge the world would run way better. I want to be in charge. “Everybody wants to rule the world.” [please insert the little musical notes; I don't know where they are on the world processor ha ha] But the Republicans think that they have special policies, and the world will work better with them.

“But the Republicans think that they have special policies, and the world will work better with them.”
The Dems think that too….but I see the world burning as they all fiddle.
O, there’ll be a number of klowns watching the car hit the bottom, comrade.
Ludwig, the clowns are the ones in the car. I don’t recall any discussion of another kind of clown watching. I am sure I like ICP as much as you. But: The ‘klowns’ in MY piece are in the freaking car, dude. Not WATCHING. So, brother, you have different clowns, and that explains that YOU spell it with a ‘k.’ I spelled it as ‘clown,’ in a ‘car.’ There are no ‘k’s. There are clowns. They are driving a car off a cliff. It is the TITLE. (I just noticed: it is full of the letter ‘c’: cars, clown, cliff.) Any clowns you noticed with a ‘k’ are your own freaking invention, Ludwig. And I am not going to spend time with you any more in the future, like this. I have many other places to visit and pieces to scribe: With my magic pen.
Actually, Ludwig, I suppose I should thank you for reading my piece. OK?
Nope. They will destroy you and other non-klowns but there will be klowns to spare.
Skedaddle if you must.
Thanks for this, Jack. I especially liked your observation that although they take their $$ as proof of their superiority, it is really they who are poor, ‘poor quality humans’. You are right. It is good for us to hear that, to mind and re-mind ourselves of it, and you put it so clearly.
“Ryan and Cantor.“
These specimens of human flotsam and jetsam are not clowns.
They are paragons of hatred, misanthropy and heartless cruelty.
They are the purveyors and spokesmen of fear, hatred, social strife, and class warfare.
Or, the terse version:
They are the scum of the earth.
Please excuse any taint of understatement which might have crept, unknowingly, into my verbiage.
Always you say something negative. Give my regards to the klown posse though whomever the f*ck your f*cking tribe is. Why dont you send a picture so I can see what your tribe looks like? Nothing you say ever makes any sense. All because I used the word “clown” in my title, and you happen to belong to a similarly-named configuration. So let me see. What can you possible mean THIS time out? I guess you are trying to say that you are going to survive the Romney regime. You are already planning on making some kind of arrangement with them. I should be so clever you clever boy.
Funny how this generation takes the title or outer media – the wrapping paper – as seriously as the text or content itself.
I never thought of the notion of clowns, not while I was writing this thing this morning for my own amusement. I just realized I need to have a title. Duh. And I realize I hit the jackpot that time, on the title alone! This time I am a hit on the title, methinks, whereas on some of my previous blog assays (you have to go back to around summer) I came up with some of the worst titles ever known to man. A small step for man a great leap for titles you might say.
As far as your descriptions I agree with you, but, when I am writing something, I always try to make it something helpful, not just a litany of how bad somebody else is. I am more interested in the parts you can actually work with. That is to say that they must have some kind of self-image of themselves as actual good persons, and that is what I tried to draw out and examine, even suggesting that I too might like to be the one – the one who rules the world. The common thing is that they have the will to live, or to “perform” whatever I meant by that – just as we all do. After all, we do share the same country and social-legal system with these people. And somehow it seems we have to come to terms with that. You can’t really round them all up or something. You can only fight back with policy, really.
Well, that is what I said. I suppose I could have ended it better but that is what the piece actually means. I certainly agree that both of them are fiddling while world is burning. It ended a little bit abruptly. I am still trying to get it together as a writer. I think I agree that it is bad news under either.
It was about normalizing these right-wing fascists and seeing them as human beings. They have the ‘normal’ fantasy of how everything would be better were they in charge. And then – I sort of normalize that and even had a fleeting thought that said I am no different. This is the problem of power and politics; it all gets so fake. The fact is that everybody wants to be in charge, on some level. Would they probably do very well at that? Two out of three in the phone book? Like all of us, they think they would, if only they got into the driver’s seat.
Then there was also the earlier part of this piece, which was not at all positive. The other things that I say in the beginning of the piece are like for example they are murders, they want to kill me, they know they want to kill me, all they want to do is marginalize the poor, conservatives do not traditionally see a better distribution of wealth as the priority for the economy, etc. I would not therefore call it exactly a love letter to the right-wing Republicans. I think they are the more clear and present danger. What I mean is that, I don’t think the Democrats feel they are inherently superior to other persons. I don’t think the Dems think they are constitutionally better than other people are. So, I find this whole Right-Republican group rather odd – and probably totalitarian-leaning – so they are the more clear and present danger. But of course this kind of thing does have a history in the West as well. We just don’t talk about it much, as if to apologize for our fascist next-door neighbor (and we have them, don’t we?) Or we say it was only those Golden Nazis of Olden times. But this is not only a movie, Not really — that kind of thing has a long history and it appeals to a lot of people.
Looks like having money sorta inflates the ego, huh? That is the problem nowadays. The correlation between the “upper class” and actually deserving to be there is weaker than ever. I cannot say when I’ll post again, but if I come up with another good ‘un…maybe I will post right here on my ‘outlet’ America’s great FDL.
“You can’t really round them all up or something. You can only fight back with policy, really.”
“First they came for the socialists,
and I didn’t speak out because I wasn’t a socialist.
Then they came for the trade unionists,
and I didn’t speak out because I wasn’t a trade unionist.
Then they came for the Jews,
and I didn’t speak out because I wasn’t a Jew.
Then they came for me,
and there was no one left to speak for me.” Martin Niemoller
And when they come for you, you can remind them:
“You can’t really round them all up or something. You can only fight back with policy, really.”
“After all, we do share the same country and social-legal system with these people.”
With your kind permission, allow me to point out a rather interesting feature of the present geography of the United States.
Within the geographical borders of the United States live two diametrically different peoples and cultures.
On the one hand you have those who embrace the ‘Enlightenment’ of Paine, Jefferson, Franklin, et al, and fervently hold as a testament to the enduring spirit of those who signed their names to the Constitution and embraced the Bill of Rights the’Rights of Man’.
While on the other set of digits you have those who would imprison the mind of man in the chains of fascism, religious intolerance and persecution, and medieval feudalism .
Abe had a few reflections on this cultural chasm.. If one replaces Lincoln’s use of the word ‘slavery’ with the phrase ‘Christian fundamentalist fascist(-ism)’, Lincoln still speaks to us with his wisdom for the ages:
‘A house divided against itself cannot stand. I believe this government cannot endure, permanently, half slave and half free. I do not expect the Union to be dissolved — I do not expect the house to fall — but I do expect it will cease to be divided. It will become all one thing or all the other. Either the opponents of slavery will arrest the further spread of it, and place it where the public mind shall rest in the belief that it is in the course of ultimate extinction; or its advocates will push it forward, till it shall become alike lawful* in all the States, old as well as new — North as well as South.”
*I would replace ‘lawful’, in this context, with ‘the only legally recognized and tolerated mind-set’.
Well this political circus is bankrupt. The tents are in shatters, the performing animals are sick and dying and the high wire acts all left.
Nothing left but the clowns.
The Kapitalist Kwistian Klowns are not the fascists in charge.
What? I think I mistakenly put you in the non-klown category.
Try not to leave spittle on the page next time, Jack.
Is you getting your facts from the bottom of a Cracker Jack’s box again?
You really must keep up with things.
By the way, how is your count of defective ducks coming along?
I think I have dealt fairly with all of you. When I write I try to achieve clarity. Apparently I have not yet convinced others to take me seriously. You will keep laughing at me but what you won’t do is give the actual piece I wrote a chance.
Maybe if you actually read the thing you would see that it makes sense and it is all connected.
On the other hand, it is true that some of the parts were not connected as perfectly as they might have been. It is a bit disheartening to see that no one really understood. Nevertheless, I feel that what I am writing is really pretty good.
Now everybody just go away. Take a break. I’ll start this relaxation trend myself by saying “Goodbye” to all you persons. I am outta here. The clown circus over. May you all be in good health and I hope and pray we will start up again, soon. And please consider learning how to read English.
Cracker Jack? Don’t know him. And you?
Sure you do. You forget so easily.
But, as a friendly suggestion you might want to consider reading books.
You know, the paper things that have all of the secrets inside.
And the ducks, what about the duck count?
In your fantasy, when did your fascist slave-holders take over?
You know about those things called references, don’t you flirty boy? See if you can point to the book secret you read which told your fantasy.
Funny you should ask.
But I must forewarn you that you will have to acquire the following books and perhaps even read them.
1.’American Theocracy-The Peril and Politics of Radical Religion, Oil, and Borrowed Money In The 21st Century’ Kevin Phillips Penguin Books, 2006. New York Times Bestseller
2.‘American Armageddon-How The Delusions Of The Neoconservatives And The Christian Right Triggered The descent Of America-And Still Imperil Our Future’ Craig Unger, Scribner 2007.
3.‘American Dynasty-Aristocracy, Fortune, And The Politics Of Deceit In The House Of Bush’ Kevin Phillips, Viking 2004.
4.‘Onward Christian Soldiers-The Growing Political Power of Catholics and Evangelicals in the United States’ Deal W. Hudson, Threshold Editions 2008.
When you finish these, let me know and I will load you up again.
But alas, I would not leave you stranded in the midst of all of this seriousness without a soothing balm for your bruised ego, so here’s one I have enjoyed and am happy to share with you.
‘Did Adam And Eve Have Navels? Discourses on Reflexology, Numerology, Urine Therapy, and Other Dubious Subjects, Martin Gardner, Norton& Co. 2000.
Otherwise, ‘mein lieber Freund’, what else is new in your parallel universe?
Answer the question, flirty boy.
Please allow me to extend to you my sincere apologies for assuming you were able to read beyond a basic high school level.
Functional illiteracy must be quite a handicap for you, all things considered.
And name calling is such a demeaning, childish character trait.
Y’all have a nice day.
Since achieving my Masters in psychology, I have been a close observant of human behavior. It does not matter what the topic is, it could be baseball, the person with the most money is right. The person with the least money is always wrong, no matter the strength of the argument. I have come to the conclusion, like racism, social/economic Darwinism has become part of the subconscious mind of the American citizen, even liberals. We are seeing the beginnings of life expectancy to go downwards, infant mortality keeps going up,there is an ongoing increase of hunger on the streets, cutting the general safety nets, and a constant cutting of education. What these klowns do not understand is these conditions cause birth rates to skyrocket, not decrease. We may not see it in our generation, but you can be sure, these klowns will drown in the wave of population. That is a core cause of the Arab spring, that is why Palestinians breed faster than Israelis, and it will happen hear, also.
Have no answer, eh, flirty boy?
You can ignore everything your parents told you and J-walk on the freeway any old time.
In your particular case rush hour would be best.
And now is an excellent time.
You did have parents didn’t you?
Wow, flirty boy. Are you related to Rahm?
