The latest entry into the health care debate, on the heels of the unhinged Sarah "death panel" Palin, is Chuck Norris, with a piece on the right-wing Townhall.com about the "dirty little secrets" in the health care bill.
I could debunk Norris’s claims, as they’re remarkable similar to the insurance industry-funded right-wing viral email so full of lies it warranted a multi-page debunking from us last week, but really, it’s not worth it. A better question to ask is what does Chuck Norris know about health care? Or about reading legislation? Or about reading, in general?
More to the point, we’re seeing the same cast of characters from the right as we saw during the McCain campaign: Crazy, violent protesters, Sarah Palin, Chuck Norris. It begs the question – where does Joe the Plumber stand on health care?
And even more to the point, why would anyone care?
I’m all for answering questions about the health care bill. But these right-wing smear artists use fear and shouting to drown out debate. They should be ridiculed or ignored.

This is another form of Kant’s Categorical Imperative: “Everything that is permitted is required.”
To follow his logic: Since the government provides free cheese to the needy, everyone must eat this cheese.
When will this idiocy cease?
Sarah Palin, Glenn Beck and Joe the Plumber all know more about health care than progressives do. They are Americans who appreciate their freedom to choose which will be taken under any form of public or single payer health care plan.
