"There is some fear because in the House bill, there is counseling for end-of-life," Grassley said. "And from that standpoint, you have every right to fear. You shouldn’t have counseling at the end of life. You ought to have counseling 20 years before you’re going to die. You ought to plan these things out. And I don’t have any problem with things like living wills. But they ought to be done within the family. We should not have a government program that determines if you’re going to pull the plug on grandma."
Repeating the Sarah Palin smear. And this is the guy we’re negotiating with? This is the buy who’s looking for a bipartisan deal? The same guy who is now lying about health care?
Nice.

Try to find Sean Hannity’s many lies today on the same subject…there should be a scathing rejection of evil distortion on the whole end of life topic
This is an undeniable indictment of the wingers, that they depend totally on ignorance, and show it by giving misinformation that harms their constituents.
Might this be enough of a smack in the face to persuade our Dem leadership that Reconciliation is the way to go? And the hell with so-called “bipartisanship.”
Actually, I think it’s good that the president has tried bipartisanship, the wingnuts have totally rejected it, and gone the other way. Now can we please proceed with actually doing what gov’t is there for, serving the public?
Yep, I agree.
He’s an awful man, but Baucus is just the lite version of the same elite clubby “yes but” buttholes.
