This Politico story is not really news. (And it’s Mike Allen, so it very well may be lies and distortions.)
The fact that Obama prefers a public option but is open to other ways to "increase competition" in the insurance market is the same line we’ve heard for months now. You can agree or disagree with it, but it most certainly isn’t new.

It may not be new news, however, and I will ask again, what are the Libs strategy if it is?
It isn’t really news ever since a Senator Obama showed his stripes by rolling over on the retro-active telecomm immunity bill.
Still, even as disappointed as I am with Mr. Obama, personally, I never thought he was this much of a punk.
The audacity of hope is quickly being replaced by the reality of same sheet, different day.
