I disassociated myself from the “liberals/progressive” camp because they had/have no plan to push an agenda nor challenge the status quo. Everything and not one primary challenge worth mentioning. That was OK.

I can accept being a Libertarian who believes in a strong social saftey net, Unions and a women’s right to choose. I can live with that.
I could never be associated with any organization, whom the majority of them, supports killing people on a whim,wars and/or indef detention. I proudly reject the association.

To be fair, though, they really dig civil wars.
I’m not a liberal Democrat or any kind of Democrat. The last time I voted for a Democrat for president was LBJ. And I ended up serving under him.
My top issues are peace, freedom, democracy and the rule of law. This places me in direct opposition to Democrats and Republicans whom I regard as murderers and traitors.
Secondarily, I am pro union and pro safety net. Until we have a Labor Party I will remain politically homeless.

The fake “Progressive” fake “news” shows are lying when they say that Obama is “Liberal” or “Progressive.” This is part of rigging the election.
Rachel Maddow & all of MSNBC would have us believe that Progressive or Liberalism is a form of Fascism, but with a sense of humor and a human face.
Liberal comes from Liberty and Progressive comes from Progress. But lately I’ve seen a definition of Liberal to include support for “Free” Trade.
I thought I was a Liberal Democrat all my life. I won’t quit believing in Liberty or Progress, or even democracy, but I did quit being a Democrat a year and a half ago.
But for decades before leaving, I was campaigning for reform in the Democratic Party. I gave up. They should really change their name.

While it would appear that jbade does indeed listen to a different drummer in a parallel universe, I still abide by the axiom to keep your friends close and your adversaries closer.
