Palin

This AP story reports that a Sarah Palin rally in Tampa drew a crowd that was only "over 5000" at the Tampa convention center Sunday. It would seem to me that scheduling an event for her that would require her base of fundamentalist Christians to miss their 11 am Sunday service wasn’t a very good idea.

That is an abysmal turnout for a city as large as Tampa, located in the area that many feel will determine the outcome of the election in Florida. For perspective, we had over 11,000 last week here in Gainesville for Michelle Obama. I can’t wait until Tuesday morning when I can go about 30 miles south to Ocala (very Republican part of the state in most years) to hear Joe Biden.
