Someone at Yahoo News has a great sense of humor with the composition of the News page when I checked a few minutes ago. The lead story is about Bush’s illegal surveillance programs. The combination of headline wording with the photo chosen to illustrate it is priceless:
With the headline blaring that the surveillance program was massive, we have Bush holding up his hands like he’s demonstrating the size of a fish he just caught.
How big was it, George?

Apparently, it was big enough to scare most of congress into letting him get off scot-free, along with the telecomms and other interested parties…

LOL. reminds me of a true Bush story. CHS, covered it at the time, iirc. Was a fun post and thread as you can imagine.

“I would say the best moment of all was when I caught a 7.5 pound perch in my lake,” he told the newspaper in an interview published on Sunday.
I’m starting to miss the guy….
While Obama presents his own set of legal obstacles, I still think Bush will go down in history as the most evil US president. I don’t think Obama would have made the phone call to Ashcroft in ICU and then sent his thugs to coerce a signature.
I’m not. I never want to hear from him again unless he’s under oath.
Power corrupts. It matters little who the president is. We will always get more of the same.
