I think he’d have a field day going after these people
Hey John!
Hey ;-)
How are you guys?
I was just on my way out the door
Are you going to Lungren’s Town hall next week? I’m going to try to make it. Send me an email
Gotta run
Oh Jeebus. Email me about it.
I love george carlin. An honest man.
People won’t believe a thing He said, even though all of it is true. They don’t seem to care, but they don’t want anyone to tell them either. They will continue voting the bums in, and supporting the politics that is ruining the country. While that stick get shoved farther, they will say gee thanks. These are the same people who keep thinking that the Congress will actually fix something. The same Congress that has let the real owners buy us all. The Congress that has let Healthcare be ripped off, is now expected to fix it. George is a comedian, but the real joke is the American people. They let their Government be given away, and loved every minute of it.
Carlin was wrong about them getting Social Security privatized, though.
And even some of the super-rich, like Jay Rockefeller, are starting to realize that if they milk the American middle class completely dry, there won’t be an America.
Carlin was Right: read how Social Security checks will fall over the next two years due to inflation increasing premiums for Medicare Part D which is directly deducted from Social Security checks while the COLA calculations used for increasing Social Security payments will not permit any increase in payments. In other words, retirees will see more of their Social Security check going to PHARMA — is this not exactly what Carlin said only in another form?
Exactly. The “they” who want everything, including Social Security, are the large corporations. Reduce Medicare benefits, increase the age of recipients, and for many SS recipients, 100% of the SS check will go to those health care corporations. And if we get continued real inflation at over twice the official government inflation numbers (or worse, remove the COLA linkage altogether), the SS check will be so small in real dollars, you can drown Social Security in the bathtub. So to speak.
He’d say exactly the same thing today;nothing has changed except there is more technology devoted to keeping the public misinformed and ignorant.
Television, Drug of the nation, breeding ignorance and spewing radiation.
AND what Carlin speaks about is not just an ‘American’ phenomenon, it’s world wide.
And just posted…No increase in Social Security Benefits in 2010
