Poignancy in pictures
When I saw the mourners lining the streets of Boston paying their respects to Senator Ted Kennedy I was reminded of the funeral train which carried Senator Robert Kennedy from his Funeral Mass to Arlington
They say a picture is worth a thousand words, I think these pictures are worth a million. They show the end result of compassion and empathy and love between someone who reaches out to make right the plight of others and those for whom they fought for.
Thanks John, Bobby, and Ted

Astounding.
You are breaking my heart all over again, John.
Recommended.
Thanks newtonusr
The other day I was trying to find video of Ted giving Bobby’s eulogy and ran across this video
Gave me tears
Recommended. Thank you, John. (good thing I can blind-type, can’t see the keys). What brought the tears were the miles of ordinary people, just like us, showing their honor of and grief for one in whom they had placed their trust and hope for our country’s strength and goodness.
The three Kennedy brothers were not flawless, but they fought to their last breaths for the principles upon which America was founded; their names will live forever as symbols of right…
Unlike others who have gained high offices and power – whose name died before the man.
Tried one of these? You can get them cheaper than this one.

blue, it was the tears blurring my vision; no eyesight problem. Thanks.
John, You have reminded me of what really happened. You have reminded me of our youth and all of the tragedy intertwined with the beauty. I remember again the things that formed our generation. We were tempered by heart break and passion and made stronger. We should wrap ourselves in our history and take sustenance from it.
Health care now for all. Parity for all.
John, I will look at these when I go to work today. (My computer struggles with videos, etc. so will use the work computer.) From your share and that of newt and acquarius and mary I know it will be cathartic. Thank you.
I once had the opportunity of shaking Bobby’s hand. I was in a crowd of his young admirers and he was campaigning. I was beginning to do more and more political volunteer work.
I cherish that moment, as I look back on that political idealism within me that was nourished by such a compassionate and committed leader who asked “Why not” instead of “Why”. When a leader leads with a committed heart, with moral clarity, it opens the hearts and visions of those … well, those not following him or her but more accompanying them side by respectful side on the spiritual path to human advancement and enlightenment. It is an empowering call to wakefulness, community and self-authenticity.
