There has been a widespread criticism of the Public Option in the Health Care Bill moving through Congress from all kinds of people. Many say that this option will lead to SOCIALIZED MEDICINE (which apparently is bad) and by their arguments, Hitler was a Socialist and therefore, socialism is next to Hitlerism. And since Socialism is the Anti-Christ I figured it would be a good idea to rid our society of all the socialist propaganda that has been part of our country for far to long.
Libraries. So before I try to explain why these should be outlawed i feel I should explain what Socialism means. Socialism is when all the commodities of a society are owned by either all the people in the society or the Government, therefore, a library is an almost perfect example of a socialist’s way to try and brainwash us into being absorbed into their type of EVIL system. I mean think about it, The Government being able to waste tax payer’s money on something so ridiculous as books. I mean seriously, why should our GOVERNMENT decide that they can just go and spend OUR money on something so useless an books that can be loaned out to ANYONE who has the audacity to want to read something, much like the way people have the AUDACITY to be able to get health care when they need it. Seriously messed up.
Police. Now I KNOW what you’re saying, no one likes the police anyway but one more thing to chalk up on the I HATE THE POLICE complaint is that they are influencing a SOCIALIST agenda, RIGHT IN OUR OWN COUNTRY! Now the police, as annoying as some people may find them sometimes, are in face there to help and protect the people in their jurisdiction. And SURPRISE they are fully funded by tax payer money YOUR TAX PAYER MONEY. Now I know this is ridiculous, and that’s why I propose that we go from using our "Annoying and Patronizing" Government Funded" law enforcement agency, and go to a more CAPITALISTIC system, mush like our health care. What I propose is that we totally get rid of the current system and replace it with a Privately owned and operated Police CORPORATION, which by the way will fit in more nicely with our current systems. (Imagine it, if you want, no need, the police to come to your home because it was just robbed, you’ll have to get prior consent from Bob, the man at the Police Claims office. And from there Bob will Direct you to the emergency response department, who sill tell you that you called the wrong number and the right number is on the back of your policy card, after a lengthy and obviously more complicated than it needs to be process, you will finally be declined your request for help because you didn’t tell the company that your home was broken into once before almost 20 years ago. Which incidentally is grounds to drop you from their company and have you fend for yourself or find another company to help you (good luck with that pre-existing condition) and as all this goes on, your house was still robbed, and no one did anything about it.)
Schools. Alright, this is absolutely ridiculous. Why should The Government be able to INDOCTRINATE our children with its socialist ideas as well. Indoctrinating the children of America has always been and should always be the primary job of the parents. So I move to say that all children be taken out of the public propaganda filled school system and put into a more free market system where the parents get to choose not only where their students learn, but what their students learn. I mean think about it, how many times has your child come home with the idea in their head that a man landed on the Moon. I mean seriously, this is ridiculous. With this new system, the parents will have to pay for their children’s education out of their own pocket, creating a more capitalistic system that will make sure the good schools make the money they deserve, and that the people that can’t afford the education won’t get it. With this system, it is guaranteed that the poor part of out society will remain poor for as long as the elite see fit. It’s better this way. It actually reminds me of way back when there was a Lord of a land and all the little serfs just went around doing all their assigned work and never made it anywhere, which is the way it should be.
Fire Fighters. On a more personal note, when I was growing up, I always wanted to grow up and be a fireman. That is until I reached my time of reason and realized that if I were to become a fireman, I would be paid by the general public. And that can’t happen because that’s not very capitalist. Now you may enjoy having a fireman come to your home to rescue you if it’s burning down, or maybe help you if you have a heart attack and need help immediately, or even in extreme cases, if the vacant house next to you is burning down, but as has already been stated, we can’t have this socialist propaganda influencing our lives and the lives of our children. It just isn’t right. Now what I propose is that we eliminate our current firefighting units and just give everyone a bucket. This system will save us all the money that we would normally put towards the pay of these SOCIALISTS and also all the other expenses that come along with running one of these dens of Socialism. Of course, if you live next to a vacant house, you and the neighbor on the other side are just going to have to work something out.
Unemployment. Now THIS is ridiculous. When people aren’t working they aren’t contributing and are just mooching off society. This kind of atrocity should never be allowed to happen in our country, especially in this type of economy. The fact is, if people aren’t working, it’s their fault what ever happens to them and they should be RESPONSIBLE for it. So all those people out there without the coverage of a job it’s your responsibility what happens, not the general public. So STOP MOOCHING OFF THE SYSTEM and and find that job that’s out there apparently.
Now you may not see any parallels between this note and the current health care debate…and I don’t either. I’m just afraid of Socialism, which was bad in the 1950s and is still bad today. The American people will always be sick and but if we work hard, we can fight against Hitler now, because Hitler was a Socialist, and that’s an important fact in this debate…Ridiculous

You know the Right does believe most of the things you’re saying here.
They’ve been fighting to divert public resources to private schools for decades now. And they do indeed want privatized police and fire services. Their gurus Rand, Nozick, and others advocated all of this.
As for public libraries, I’d bet everything I have that most rightists would like to do away with them completely, and not just because of the money. (I’ve never seen poll data on that let alone heard a proposal, but I chalk that up to cowardice on their part, since most people like libraries. Like the way some years back they suggested selling off National Parks and then claimed it was “just a joke” when the blowback was so negative.)
You may be writing with your tongue in your cheek, but the identical arguments were made at a book banning meeting last week in Cheshire, CT.
… that I disapprove of.
Bad Socialism, is like the Soviet Union, where they spent everything on their military, and little on their people. They in someways were no different than us even with Commmuism or socialism. They still had rich rulers and a wealthy class that lived well above the common man.
Bad Democracy is where we spend to much on our military and little on our people. We have rich rulers and a wealthy class that lives above the common man.
The difference not much. Those common men in Russia knew they weren’t to well off. Those men here think they are wonderfully lucky to live in a great Country that has no respect for them.
Actually, in elementary school I learned that fire departments were private at one time. In Northeast and Mid Atlantic states, you’d sometimes see the symbols that identified old houses covered by a specific private company. The practice was finally abandoned when it was realized that profit motives and firefighting were a poor mix. It seems that the firefighters of one company were a major cause of fires in houses covered by their competitors.
Roads were often private too, until the Constitution came into effect. The tolls were killing interstate commerce, so the government socialized road building.
I brought this up with some Teabuggers at a healthcare town hall. I explained that I wanted to privatize the streets. They wanted to know why I would want to do that. I rplied that I would like to own out to the center line so that I could tear up the asphalt and build a berm with it to keep noisy traffic out. They said I was just crazy.
They went on to say that roads and the military were the only things that should be socialized. When I asked why, gthey said because it had always been that way. I had to point out that, in fact, up until the American and French Revolutions, national armies did not exist in their modern form. Instead, nations relied on private contractors. I pointed to the Hessians as an example that they might have heard of. They insisted that everyone knew that the Hessians were British and not from the principality of Hesse in Germany. I was crazy.
The lesson I drew from this is that the opponents of “Socialism” are so self-satisfied and self-involved that they have made themselves too ignorant to be swayed by facts and too stupid to recognize sarcasm.
Libraries…. Didn’t Andrew Carnegie (one of the richest men ever in American history, you know huge capitalist bastard) believe that capitalism which allowed him to prosper so well should lead people like him to give back even more to society? He donated nearly all his wealth at his death, even though his heirs where not as impressed. He donated 1000′s of libraries throughout our nation. So capitalism brought us this great gift.
Many police and especially fire fighters in small communities start out of volunteers from its citizens. This clearly though fits into what our government was designed to do which is grant us life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Which is why the federal government is to provide for our national defense. It is not necessary for a town, city or even state for that matter to actually employ police or fire departments. Several cities across the nation hire companies to be the law enforcement. This is because they have several advantages. A corporation can understand how to budget and provide services efficiently and for a fair price. Then can clean up a community while promoting community pride at the same time by enforcing city codes and appearance standards to improve the neighborhood and bring in revenue more efficiently. Also shields a town from liability as well.
Schools well, that is necessary but I went to a private Lutheran school and my parents barely made the national average for income. I think I got a better education compared to my peers at other elementary and high schools in the area but that is just my opinion I think their is great reason for choice and competition here.
Unemployment was added in the Great Depression era and while beneficial, it also is abused and hurts many people. When people know they have this they have no problem spending their income into themselves being a paycheck-to-paycheck person. When a job or income is lost they have no or little savings to rely on and many times unemployment is not enough to lift them out of their position they put themselves in.
Someone had to do it but many of these things are beneficial but also not socialism. When people depend on someone else for their life in a plethora of ways trouble occurs. Whether it be a spouse, or employer or the government, people all need to see that many time they can take care of themselves if they put the work into it .
People used to take care of themselves and their families even with out a job. They raised a cow, a pig, chickens, and grew a garden in their yard. They sold any excesses and made a few bucks. Try doing that in a city, or even many small towns. There are towns where gardens are considered farm crops and are illegal.
Our society makes it harder by the day for the common man to take care of Himself, and then complanes that He doesn’t.
We are a country of wanting everything both ways, and can’t seem to manage even one way.
