On August 23, I posted a list of ten Facebook groups that are supporting a public option as part of health care reform. At the time, there were right at 20,000 total members in these groups. Since then, most of these groups have grown considerably, and a few newly created ones have entered the mix.
As of today, the total membership of the top ten groups is 54,615. That’s an increase of 273%, which is significant, but given the number of people on Facebook, the potential to make a large statement of support is much higher.
One way to grow these groups exponentially is to cross-pollinate them. I am asking the administrators of each group to post this list, and I encourage everyone who supports public option to take the time to join each group.

54k definitely gives you something to start with, organizationally.
I’d be curious to know how many of those 54K are the same person in multiple groups, although calculating something like that would be a monumental task.
Yeah, me too, though you’re right.
Thanks to watching firedoglake on Rachel Maddow, I am with you and would do anything I can to help you. Public Option yes.
