After the love affair with Henri we had on myFDL yesterday, I thought it only proper to share a love letter from his biggest admirer, Anaïs Mittens.
Happy Friday! What’s on your mind today?

Aw. La pauvre chatte. Thanks, Kit; Anais Mittens is new to me.
Well, due to some (former) co-workers who had the monumentally bad judgement to come to work impaired, it was announced yesterday that the company will begin random drug testing of employees starting November first. As far as drug testing policies go, this is the most benign I’ve seen, as it gives everybody ample opportunity to get clean. When I say “benign”, I mean relatively speaking of course because though I believe drug testing is both ineffective and a form of fascism, (they’re telling us not only how to behave for the eight hours a day we are there but also for the remaining sixteen hours we are not), legally speaking they could have just begun the program immediately without any warning. Of course they would have lost a full half of their current employees. I mean crap! We’re a bunch of artists and artisans. That these conservative fundies who don’t want “big government interfering with their lives” but see no hypocrisy with telling their employees what they may and may not ingest on their own time is proof that the conservative mind has no innate sense of irony.
Anyway, as this necessitates my getting clean as it were, I’m going to take the opportunity to get serious about looking for a job in Austin so I can get back to my home again.
Wish me luck!
I hope you find a great place to be with people who deserve to have you and forthwith!
She had me at “string theory” … wonderful!
Happy travels back to Austin, we will be happy to have you at Occupy when you get here. I’m sorry your employers turned into fascists though.
bonne chance
They didn’t turn into fascists, they just became much more active fascists.
