Here’s Amanda Fucking Palmer being her amazing fucking self, covering a M.I.A.’s Paper Planes with some talented help:

I had a busy weekend. I did a lot of laundry. I ate some good food with some friends. I protested at an award ceremony where the Austin Police Chief got a ‘peace award’ for opening interfaith dialogues.
How was your weekend? This is the latest open thread.

I’m quoted in this article about the peace award protest:

Cool on the quote, Kit…but what’s most important is that you did your laundry.
Your friends than you. Your relatives thank you. And your comrades thank you. ;o)
Be well.
But my cat does NOT thank me, because now she has less laundry to lay in.
LOL! Get her/him a little pillow at the thrift store. And some catnip, of course. (I covet your sexy socks.) ;o)
If there’s one thing my house has plenty of, its pillows. We have an entire room full of them (with a movie projector & sound system).
