It’s a good time to look back at the last year, remember what you liked and what you loathed, and think about what you want in 2013. Here’s a lovely photo retrospective of 2012 at Occupy Austin. The photos are by John Jack Anderson, the photo journalist from the Austin Chronicle who has embedded with our group since the beginning.
How’s your week been? What do you want from 2013? What’s on your mind tonight?
This is our latest open thread.

Great photos! Quick flash of an occupier holding a cardboard sign that says “I am not a terrorist”, too bad that wasn’t believed by our own government!
How is it going now? Do you have an encampment? Are you involved in resisting Tar Sands pipeline?
Good shots, thanks.
If I had it to do over, I’d have taken more time, more pictures, going out to the West Coast.
Occupy Austin does have a small encampment, called Tent City. They recently had to move from one location to another. I’m hoping to drop in and visit them & write about it soon. we’re also involved in the Tar Sands blockade, and hold frequent solidarity actions for them as well as our members travelling out there. I’m hoping something will happen in Austin in solidarity in early January with their major Blockadia action.
Yeah I lost some of my 2012 activism photos & that is a small regret…
Thanks for the update…it is good to know what others are doing!
