Russia Today says of this video:
It was tally time at London Zoo on Thursday as zoo managers began an annual cataloguing of its residents. From owls to otters, penguins to pythons, it’s no easy task when there are more than 17,500 creatures to count, and the final results could take weeks to compile.
But even they are up front about the purpose of the video, right in its title. After most of a week facing fiscal cliffs and the government’s unsurprising but continued inability to serve the people, here are a bunch of cute animals.

Meerkats!
So cute!
Oh..I love the otters and the owls. Owls are my favorite of the raptors. Only ever saw one otter in the wild. At a part in Winter Park Fl. It was kind of the resident otter. There may have been more.
Saw owls in the wild in Fl. a few times. Have some photos of one.
Usually saw them in the Birds of Prey Center. The had a lot of injured owls there among other raptors. Eagles and hawks and osprey…etc.
When I make it to renaissance faire I always enjoy the raptor show, which is made up of rescued birds. They fly right over the crowd, and it’s so lovely tosee them in motion. I’d love to see an otter in the wild!
